    Default changed diff oil??

    right lads i changed the dif oil in the 180 2 castrol b373 dnt know wat was in it before but now when driving for long period of time wen oil heats up, turning the car slowly r going round tight bends the diff is very very clonkey wasnt like this before i changed the oil, is it just the castrol oil as it says for race use only did ye ever come acroos it?

    ya need a specific plate diff oil, like silko boa90

    My diff is like that all the time when moving slowely! sounds like the rear subframe is about to fall out, im sure a few people heard it the other day!

    it used never reli clonk b4 just a slight bang but now its like their is a fella under the car with a sledge hammer banging ha, wat other oils out their that i could try, silicone etc

    That Silkolene oil is the only oil for a plated diff.
    That castrol oil is for lsd's allright viscious types, not plated diffs.

    no , there a plenty of oils out there for mechanical plate type lsd's, and castrol b373 is one of them

    the b373 is for plated diffs but it is old as the hills

    my dad used use it in his escorts, things have come a long way since then

    some people swear by it but we have had very bad results with b373

    use the silkolene, ive used it in everything without any problems

    Mine is the same, I use Redline Heavy Shockproof, it clunks even with the slightest turn like a big roundabout! Hasn't fallen out/exploded/locked up yet!
