    Default rad fans

Hi guys i had some overheating problems on the rb20det after some investigation i found the standard rad was choking. So i replaced it with a gtr aluminum rad. Im still using the standard fan but i want to run another fan in front of the rad to keep everything cool. I've looked at fans on ebay but ive bein told to use honda civic air con rads as a cheap option. These are a twin fan setup and are meant to push air through the rad. I am goin to hook up the fans using a rad stat and a relay. Has anyone ever done this and which fan did you use and which rad stat did you use to make the fans come on and off at the correct temp. All input

hey i used altezza fans its a nice neat set up twin fans and a resavoir in the middle it fits a s14 so i presume it would fit urs too, the handest way to wire them is get a rad fan switch and the adaptor that goes in ur top rad hose ppl usually use them then putting in dials. there not the expensive and again if done ryt are really neat, then a relay and fuse everything .... hope this helps

Cheers for that but im on a tight budget and cant really afford 200 for 2 any idea of what cfm they have? Did you keep your standard fan and put these in front of the rad of did you lose the standard fan and mount these on the back. Did you use a fan switch (stat) or did you connect them to an ignition live?

To be honest lad, im on a very tight budget and just had to buy them...

I lost the vicous fan due to have a big oversized rad for starters, then i got 2 of them fans and stuck them on the engine side sucking in the cold air and trust me they work.... Nope just have them on 2 seperate switches and my car is track only & i wired them through the safety kill switch, you could get them on a ignition live if you wanted either

if you pop into portlaois on sunday, come over and have a look, more than welcome!
