    No point offering him an E36 318iS engine unless you have or know of an E30 316/318i or 318iS sump, E30 318iS loom, exhaust manifolds and system and quite a few other parts to make an E36 engine fit into an E30

    318iS engines are both cheaper to run and in most cases just as fast as an E30 325.

    My iS is well able to make good ground on any 325 (E30 or E36) anyway although its not just as it left the factory either I suppose

    An E30 325 engine swap could be done for around 500-800 quid depending on how much the engine and related parts cost but remember to change your springs too as if your car is only a 4-cylinder the front springs won't be strong enough for the heavier engine.

    M50, M52s or S50s from E36 325i, 328i or M3s or even an M60 from an 540 V8 are the only way to go though to do things properly

    What did you do with the adjustable cams they come with as standard

    hahaha, im not a BMW head dude, only got the car recently, i just know its been rebuilt, didn know they came as standard! my apologies! but at least i want lying!haha

    Haha, only messing. Its just funny at times when you see ads listing off adjustable cams, stainless 4 branch manifold etc when its all standard stuff.
