    Default S14 road to drift

    Well lads, have a handy spec road s14 which i,ve always been threating to turn into a drift car but never go ahead with it but decided last week i was and thats it,
    this is the spec as she stood,

    hks gtss turbo actuator and braided lines,
    full exhuast, manifold back,
    braided brake lines,
    coilovers,
    polybushed,
    extra lock tie rods tein,
    fmic,
    fuel pump and regualator,
    paddle clutch,
    2 way diff,
    english spec leather interior,
    nice double din radio,
    braided clutch line,

    thats alll that i can think of, probl is more.

    Then last monday i called to barrys motersport and ordered a few bits, set, harness, rails, hydro hand brake, bonnet pins, alloy rad, 25 litre allo tank, swirl pot, 255 litre in line pump, and prob one or 2 bits i can't remember,

    finally made a start at it then today, got the interior, gearbox(i'll explain later) rad nd tew bits out of it, happy wit progress,

    kind of no i'll have to change to an rb or some other box for the track but was feelin bit experimental today so took the bell housing of my sr box and started stripping a zf of a 525 wit big millage... an adptor plate wont work as splines to far back on shaft of the zf but am confidend that we should be able to cut and weld the bell housing ok, the 325 clutch disc fits perfect on the sr pressure palate, the release bear is a bit small but will do, i'll try check if an m3 one is bigger during the week if i can, any one no if it has been done, looked into gear ratios and think it should be sweet for track car, probly way to little top end for road use

    have the car mostly stripped out now, only dash bar and heaer box left inside in it,will be getting caged next weekend hopefully,

    called to barrys motor sport today to collect some bits, ended up buying brian crower stage 2 cams and a cosworth head gasket as well, also ordered perspex windows, i took the dash bar and heater box and interior loom out of the car tonight, also took the engine out and finished stripping the zf box, all going to plan hope to call to engineering shop tomorrow with the 2 bell housings, wont be back at the car till Thursday evening, will put more updates on then.
