wel to be honest i couldn't agree with you more after thinking it through ill stick an m3 under the bonnet and ye dats what im doin with her at the moment i have to weld the diff

Just get an M50 and weld the diff

I have an M50 in Hildi with an open diff and she'll slide no bother in the wet

Stick an M3 engine into it since it'll be 300bhp out of the box for 1500 quid and a days work or so.

And if something breaks such as gearboxes or even the engine does go eventually replacements are easy to find.

First thing to do is strip the car out as much as you can and maybe a higher ratio diff.

Just drive it the way it is lad, no point in going spending a load on it on then having no money for track days! Track days is what everyones doing at the mo so wouldnt be worrying about getting it ready for competitions!

Weld diff, lighten it, hydro handbrake and 15" rims and away you go!

Deffo do a day in Mondello, much easier to drift in an underpowered car than anywhere else i was so far
