turn the engine on, and take out 1 coilpack, if she keeps running, put it back in and check the next one. repeat until acar stalls. which ever one you pulled out to make her stall is your fucked one. car can run on 3 pots, if a coilpack is fucked she'd be running on 2 when you pull out fucked one hence she'll stall.
other way is the pull out coilpack and plug and touch plug off an earth ie. engine.
but ya gotta know what to look for there, so i pressume first way is better for ya
i think you have a it the wrong way round there eilenn.....start the car man,and plug out one coil pack at a time....if the coil pack is good,it will start 2 cut the engine down when you unplug it....keep doing this....the one with the least effect i.e{the one that makes the least effect on the engine when you unplug it is your dodgey one!!!!
Thats the craic she said with one leg on the dash and nothing on but the radio............
em ok or you could check resistance of them with a multi metre
have on in the garage diff....what shud the resistance be
@Eileen and 200sx Thanks but i think its only beginning to break down, tried this already and it didnt cut out
possibly be the airflow meter?
yea that only works if its not sparking atall, if its only missing at high revs or full load ya cant tell by unpluging them!
where bouts are ya man. ive four ones that i took out of my car cause there was a slight crack in one or two of em so got another set but they were working perfect if ya want a loan off em and try and figure out which of your ones is bad by swapping em around
cheers man, in tipp....i know a lad closer to home who shud have a few but if he dont ill get back to ya
