    Question Help Bleeding clutch?

Well first of all i changed the clutch in my s14.

I tought there was something off about the feel of the pedal
You would press the pedal & it would be nothing, nothing, nothing then it would work
So i went under the car and opened the bleed nipple on the slave cly and pumped the pedal a few times to flush the old fluid out of it
then filled the resovior up again & went to pump the pedal and it went down to the ground & would'nt come up on its own (had to pull it up like)

i went about bleeding the clutch away then with someone working the pedal up & down for me and no good. the pedal was still not coming up on its own

Kinda stumped about this, why is the pedal not coming up on it own like?

is the slave cylinder fucked or what
I fitted one of those DW braided clutch lines before i did all this as the old one looked half rotten.

by the way i was using dot 5.1 fluid
    Any help is greatly appreciated

im after doin a bit of searching and i think im gonna get a new slave cylinder tomorrow,
i was thinking about getting rid of that whole damper set up for a while aswell, and i think i will now
Gonna do it like this http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/32/47/
Supposed to be easier to bleed once the damper setup is bypassed too

Ill report back tomorrow & let ye know how i get on

You know there are 2 bleed nipples don't you?

One is on the end of the loop thats runs along the chassis underneath and one on the slave cylinder. Also, if you drained all the fluid out by pumping the peddle(the wrong way) then you will have to bleed the master cylinder too.

If you had no issues with the clutch pedal before then it won't be a fault now unless you have damaged something by pumping it dry.

if it wont bleed, you might have to force bleed it through the slave cylinder, thats what i did, a pump and a pipe onto the bleed nipple and pump it in that way! make sure the resevoir lid is off!
