Thumbs up PR: Team Hankook Target Strong Finish to Prodrift 2010

Next Sunday, September 26th, the Hankook Tyres drift team will aim to continue their run of podium form as the 2010 Prodrift Series comes to a close in Fermoy, County Cork.

The Prodrift finals will bring to a close an extremely successful season for the team which has netted podium reults at each event so far . Most recently it was Eric O’Sullivan who brought home an outright victory for the Hankook Team at Mondello Park. This Japfest victory followed a string of three 3rd place finishes by Alan Sinnott in his debut season with Team Hankook.

The consistency of Sinnotts performances this season mean that the Carlow driver now lies in 3rd place in the championship and can still challenge for an improved end of season position. Sinnotts team mate Alan Lenihan has recently suffered dissapointing results in both City West and Mondello Park but will be looking to finish his season off on a high note at this event which the Cork driver considers home turf.

Speaking in advance of the event, managing director of Hankook Ireland Niall Murray is looking forward to the competition in Cork Marts.

“2010 has been a great season for Hankook drifting. We approached this year with a renewed focus on our team work, our technical assistance and our increased event presence and I am delighted everything has worked out so well. To finish the season off with another podium result would be a fantastic and fitting way to round off this years campaign. We are familiar with the venue and the surface at Fermoy so our team should be well equipped to meet the challenge next Sunday”.

Prodrift Round 5 is the final competitive event of 2010 for Team Hankook. The event takes place at Cork Marts, Fermoy. Tickets are available at the gate and all information can be found by visiting www.prodriftseries.com.
