    Default Hyabusa Engines!

So I recently bought a small shitty run around, and after 3 days am very bored.

Now iv seen them on you tube but iv never talked to anyone thats ever done it or read a complete build thread!

So im asking for ppl that have experience to give there 2cents.

Id imagine its an simple job, the engines are very small and compact aswell as light so mounting it wouldnt be tricky as I can weld up mounts in work!

The problem I see is the gearbox, as motorbikes dont have a reverse gear, so id need a gearbox that would be small, yet very strong and would need to match up with the engine!

    So id need custom driveshafts??

Anyone else who can shed light on this??

You can buy reverse gear for bike engines.

    What is it going into.

And no, it wont be a simple job.

    1, engines are expensive,

2, car would need to be €500kg or less to work properly due to lack of torque, clutchbein overstressed, an gearbox bein overstressed.

but there are a couple of ways ya can do it, but depends on the car. quaiffe do a diff with a reverse gear but youll pay for it.

mountin it is the least of your wories, time, money and it actualy workin properly are your wories, also itll be a pig to drive on the road..... id steer clear if i were you. there cool as fuck but not worth the effort imo

I know a person who built an estfield with that engine, unfortunally the thread isnt in english ... And finally he also solved the reversing gear problem and put the car legally on the road.

Itl either be a Suzuki Alto, or old mini shell!

I can get ECU for the engine and they can be mapped up to 100 pounds of torque and 180bhp so it wont be a massive problem in a car that small!

I dont have the skill to do this and time is not a problem, the polish guy I work with is the brains, im just researching and trying to find prices of for example, the differential and the reverse gear!
