    Not sure what fabric to get yet but I have something in mind
    Looks cool mind you, did you machine it or hand sew it?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    tutorial lol

    first off, you'll need to remove the center console that holds the gaitor. there should be a kind of frame that holds the gaitor in place under the console. remove it.... also, remove gear knob...

    the gaitor fabric can be taken off.

    take a scissors and cut open the seams. on mine there were 2, one front and back of gearstick.

    when thats done you should have 2 kinda triangular pieces of fabric. when sewed they will give you the cone shape ya need. something like so;

    then, lay them over each other, with the design or image ya want on the INSIDE...
    sew them together leaving the top and bottom open. like so;

    then turn it inside out. like a sock :-)

    thats your gaitor done. return to original place on the console where old gaitor was!

    then, to fix it under the gearknob and prevent it from slipping down, just lift up the whole plastic frame and gaitor (it'll turn inside out again) until its stuck on the gearknob. like so;

    use duct tape or the likes and put it around the stick just under your knob lol nice and tight and MIND that the fabrics doesnt spin as you wrap it around. thats look shit and it aint gonna work haha... dont spare any tape. i used quite alot half way down the stick to make sure it stays firmly up.
    like so;

    when thats all done, just stick the console back down and the gaitor will flip right way round again. the gaitor should have a nice round pro looking fold under the knob :-) if not, you suck at DIY...

    @eileen: I have loads of fabric! I've gotten back into sewing as bad as it sounds so it would be a cool lil project, even if it just take like ten mins haha
