Jesus, and I thought WOMEN were good at starting rumors!!
I'm sure Tony meant to say tyre wax, the lube that helps get tyres onto rims.
However that doesn't actually matter as it's neither glue nor wax you can see in the pictures. Its chipped paint from where the metal end part of the tying straps made contact with the rims during transit. As I said, I'd rather lose some paint off the wheels than the entire car off the trailer.
And what does having the car sprayed at a track day have to do with the price of turnips??
Anyway I've been doing some digging and while these rims are really tasty they aren't really suitable for my track purposes, too heavy compared to the Works, so I might just try and find a wider pair of the same for the rear and move the 9" rims to the front.
ok, i dont want my car coming off a trailer either, but wit d damage u done to ur rims ur straps were probly at breaking point, hahaha. dont see y u have to damage wheels strapping a car down
i only want cash neway. tanks for your interest
Well I'm usually moving forklifts and stuff around the country and the sight of one of them moving around on the back of the truck does little for my ulcer!
But I'd hardly call some chipped paint actual damage, ye drift boys are far too caught up on looks!
But good luck with the sale, they really are savage rims and I'm surprised they are still here. I'd be tempted to make you an offer on them anyway and see if I could move them on to one of the Supra owners I know for a bit of a profit.
But like most of my ideas that one would probably turn to shit as well!!
bump up.....
Did these ever sell?
