Some of you have seen this already but its time to do an official build thread with extra pictures
Here is the press release from Speedhunters
http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010...00_mac-86.aspx
Originally this was to be our Prototype ae86 but then Need for Speed came on board and we decided to build something extra special

http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01104.jpg
We started off with the battered re86....
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01113.jpg
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01115.jpg
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...DSC01116_2.jpg
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...DSC01117_2.jpg
And we began to remove bits we deemed unnecessary

Until we ended up with as much or a little ae86 as possible
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01315.jpg
We started by welding up all the holes that would leave tyre smoke or rain water into the cockpit
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01316.jpg

Then we fabricated the rear strut bar that will be integrated into the rollcage and also the rear chassis bar
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01317.jpg
http://assets.speedhunters.com/Image...itled-4932.jpg
We then started to position the centre hoop so we could fab the platforms for it to sit on
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01313.jpg
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...n/DSC01314.jpg
http://assets.speedhunters.com/Image...itled-4985.jpg
We moved to the front then as we had no where to mount our tension rods and anti roll bar so we fabbed a new front chassis section from scratch

We cant wait to show you more, stay tuned to www.speedhunters.com for the latest build updates
