what engine?
no difference, its jus annoyin as fuck.....
you could buy a used one for around 80 quid r that...
or you can stick in the sprocket from the intake cam on a black top 180 engine.. simple enuf do.. you'l loose your vvt though is the only but alot of people do it jus to be rid of the sprocket, and if ya have cams an good power u not gonna loose much power....
i have aftermarket fixed pulleys there for sale,, they replace the vvt
you could also put in a adjustable sproket and if you advance it by 5 to 6 degrees it will sort you problem i have to do it my self in the next couple of days
yes a adjustable spoket i,m doing it to mine in the next couple of day and it does work mike dean has it done to his drift car it cansel,s the vvt compleaty
ya i know but in the next month or two i,m getting 260 degree cam,s and valve stoppers so i will loose it then any way so fuck it i,m hopeing to get the power up around the 400 mark in the next 6 months
Was looking at buying a new one only a few days ago and this is the cheapest place I found selling them:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Nissa...s#ht_529wt_939
Works out about 230 euro plus postage costs.
I ended up just throwing in a second hand one the other day and that sorted mine out for 80 quid. just hope it lasts!
If you want to test and see what the car would feel like without the vvt just disconnect the solinoid valve and take it for a spin.
I tried it and it didnt make as big a difference as i thought it would but the car felt a bit dead in 5th gear pulling from say 50ish on the motorway and since my car is a road car I didnt want that so decided to keep it.
i have one here 50e!!!
I have a few VVT sprockets...Do not replace it with a solid one...You loose all low down and mid range power...
got price of nissan for this,
part number = 13025-65f00
price = 977 + vat
bollox to that
did you get it sorted?
just want to bump this up.. is it a hard job to replace...
and also any second hand ones lying about?
cheers!!
sure the engines out anyways i might aswell do it.
Ahh,Jules?
The car was giving trouble since day one.
But was down on power. Head went and there was decent mileage on it so rebuild would be best.
Head needs a bit of work. Not much skimming but new valves etc
Just thought while I was at it I'd sort the vvt out
i gave my VVT sprocket to mike deane as a swap for a redtop sprocket as the VVT would not work with the HKS cams i got.. he might still have it if anyone looking for one, was working 100% no rattle :)
my sprocket has got to the stage now that its dreadful to even leave the car idling, sounds like an old tractor, but doesnt rattle other times and perfect while driving, really need to get it sorted now, any one got any? louth, meath, monaghan area??
have one here still in the engine.45000k on it. replacing my engine with rb25
