Just following on from another thread here asking about tyres for burning.
What tyres are you using on the front to give you good steering?
Are track day tyres any good?
Any help appreciated ;)

Toyo R1R's seem to be the best at the mo, Pricy tho,
Eagle F1s and Falken 452's are pretty good rubber up front too
hankook p1 evo's are a savage tyre but pricey
federal rsr very hard to get thou
the Goodyear f1 asymmetric are an amazing tyre man in wet especially
Hankook rs2 are a savage all round tyre.....! Better in the wet than they are in the dry......!
Any Wanli's on front would be the best
He didn't mean that did he.......!
I would second the Hankook RS2 aswell
rs2 all the serious tyre once ya get a little heat in em
falkin 912, very cheap and pretty good grip
R888 are definitely my best choice for front, even on the wet. They only struggle under BIG rain, when water keeps on the road. Otherwise, good stuff.
A tip I learned from a Belgian judge on a competition : to make the best of your front tires on DRY condition, install them reverse (on the contrary of the normal rotation). For security reason, tires are made to grip more when braking, so if you mount them reverse, you get slightly more grip ;)
No it isnt, thread patterns are designed to grip when rotating a certain way, i would imagine the reason why that judge imagined he was right is because under braking the front suspension compresses putting weight in the tires and improving their ncontact patch with the road
