{Didnt Meego have a problem bleeding his aswell recently }
ye i had a problem wid brake master cyclender frank, robbie has clutch trouble::(
Ya sounds like you down on pressure
I never had a cylinder go so cant say but it would be hard luck to be gone when you had the box down
rite lad iv had to do this heaps of times to get a pedal on nissans it will take 3 people to do it safely, one in the car on the pedal and 2 under, get a vise grips put it on the clutch fork beside the slave cylinder pin, one person pull out the vice grips untill the pressure plate is relesed(do the job that slave cylinder normallly does) other peron will have to hold the pin of the slave cylinder while the person inside pumps the pedal when the slave pin comes out enough to meet the clutch fork get the person inside to hold down the pedal and relese the fork slowly with the vice grips at this stage the person holding the forks arms will have fell off!!
good luck
^^^I lol'd at the last line
Gem your a fucking star........! If this works your an even bigger legend than you already are.........!
Is it an XTD clutch by any chance??? there a bit weird, they seem to be at the end of the pedal all the time, but that just the way they are!!.
Jsus gems way sounds like a fair lot of work!!
1. Open off the two bolts and just let the slave cyclinder hang down
2. Open the bleed nipple,
3. Stick an old boost pipe on the nipple and put it into a half full bottle of brake fluid .
4. Pump the pedal a few times making sure the reservior is always full!! (you dont need a second person opening and closing the nipple!!)
5. Close the nipple when you hear it flushing into the bottle.
6. Bolt back on the slave and give it a pump!, dont pump it with the nipple closed with out it being bolted back on cause you'l push out the piston!
........emmm K Mister mackey :D
Your all forgetting about the bleed nipple on the master cylinder.... first of all you can remove the damper loop crap, thats a pointless addition by nissan.... how to in this link>> http://www.zeroyon.com/index/content/view/32/47/
Than once you have this done its ten times faster to bleed the system, now just bleed from the master cylinder first and then bleed the slave cylinder. if you dont bleed the master first you'll be at it all day and still get no peddle.
If you dont want to remove the damper loop system, then bleed the master first, then bleed the damper loop system and finally bleed the slave cylinder. and just to clear things up if you were to buy a clutch braided line you'd be bypassing the clutch damper system anyhow
How did ya get on Daly?
As ready as i can be really
No spoiler on and no RB gearbox but ill have 2 spare SR boxes.
Should handle well now though so thats good :)
Did ya get it set up.....! Who set it up for ya....! Wouldn't worrie too much bout the spoiler.......! And there'l be plenty of us on hand to help if the box gos bang.....!
I had to ajust the bollocks of the bar going into the master cylinder the one thats behind the clutch peddle.......! It wasn't the bleeding at all....!
Oh right i know what your on about, so you had a rake of play before you were even pressing the clutch.
I set it up myself lad, seems to be fairly bang on now.
Have you got much gear for setting it up......! One thing i wanna learn how to do is setting up.....!
robbie i had same prob lad and my cluth master cylinder was gone the one under the bonnet no pedal till nearly the end and it went totally out of the blue i'd nearly put money on it that this is your prob
Just a camber guage, the rest ive done with builders twine and a measuring tape. But took me 2 full days to get everything right. When everythings adjustable it takes time.
If im not happy this time il put it up on a 4way alignment system.
The machine is only as good as the man using it i suppose.
and no we dont have any builders hats in the garage :p
