it was only nocking when i drove or revd easy you could uasly hear the noise at 2 and a half thousend revs
but i started the car today and it was nocking all the time

Not qualified enough to say exactly but it sounds like the big ends... Hopefully not!
sounds like ur bottom end is in trouble
dont worry about it lad...
my yoke makes differnt noises every week
and she will be makein a lot more after this week at punch town:D
i have to worry about it would hardly drive up the hill beside my house
my car scared me with a knocking like that but it was just the manifold gasket, dont be thinking its fucked just yet, is it a big knocking noise??

I always recommend rebuilding the one you have, a second hand engine with unknown history etc can easily end up in more troubles.
A complete rebuild of your engine does not cost a lot more then a second hand engine and you know you have essentially a brand new motor.

Ands if it does does it go away when you put it in gear and take the clutch out?? If it is its the VVT rattle and does no damage to your engine its just annoying
