Alot of lads keep these off because it gets to hot in around the coil packs the air cant get in or out
i got one rob, 40 bills
have one here 35 euro delivered
christy
might have one in the shed will have a look later for ya, and its complete bollox about the heat IMO, they are in the centre of the block near enough so a bit of plastic wether on top or not isnt really going to make that much of a difference to the heat on them.
have one here also where are you from..
i hav 1 mate if u want it u can take it away
cheers for the replies all,
im in dublin, would it be postable?
and seriously, should it be left off? rocker covers look real bare without it
Skyline first timer:rolleyes:thats like sayin a flask wont keep the water warm look at the underneath of the cover the next time you ll see a plastic seal around it to stop the water gettin in so there ment to be air tight ish ye i looks fairly bare and plain with out it but you ll start goin true coil packs like sunday dinner just advise what happens
oh we have a comedian, not going into it with another one. yeah think what you will, but its not my first..... oh maybe i got rid of my last one due to failed coilpacks due to them overheating. i dont think so.
oh and i dont eat sunday dinners dont like the roasters :p
mines looks awful without it. maybe if i painted the set of rocker covers i bought last weekend will look better.
engine looks old or somethin cuz the valve covers have no paint on em.
spare set gettin painted midnight purple ftw.
Road car leave it on track car leave it off :p
my coilpacks ate themselves to death with the cover on, have had no probs since i took it off! hooray
for a start it could have been a loose wire shorting out, its not as though things melt for no reason, like why would one melt and the rest be fine??
these things were designed in japan and driven there for 15 odd years with no problems. they come here, which is a colder climate and all of a sudden the cover is keeping to much heat in.... yeah i see where your all coming from. only part of the coilpack system ive seen fail was on an SR20 and it was the amplifier that failed as it was hanging low behind the block and taking in alot more heat than it was designed for.
thier like everything you look after it then it'll always work.
it was all the coil packs that melted not one and the wireing was fine other than years of being in an oven it had gone very hard and brittle, fair enough on all the desinged in japan stuff but if it not a common problem why is this company along with lots of others makeing these???????? this is for an sr20 now i cant read japanise and i had the link from when i was looking for one for my 13
what do they call it???? is that "heat sink cover"??
http://shop.weld-jp.com/eshopdo/refe...view_id=WHC001
is this the new raised bonnet craze?
looks shit and no one will ever know if it actually reduces heat or not
ok enough thread hijacking!!

must be able to deliver or in dblin, as insurance is up and i aint renewing it.
