jus get them off driftworks lad i bought my subframe bushins off them think i was only waitin 2 or 3 days for them
did you go for the poly ones or the solid mount ones?
my next question after that is, do you fit those slotted locking collars on with the bushes or what?
i got the poly bushes lad....no them lockin collar jobbies are only for ur standard bushins not poly bushes or solid ones
cheers for that. i was woundering why i had only seen pics of them with standard mounts..
no prob man...ya they jus for standard bushins they fit in the grooves of them an wen ya tighten the bolts back up the compress the bushin a bit makin it feel tighter which makes it handle a bit better....is it road car or track car u want them for??
well its for a road car, rb25 s14, i'm hoping to have it out on track,
the main reason for buying it, but it'll be on the road aswell as a weekend toy etc.
standard bushings are in need of changing as i'd say they are the original ones.
thinking the solid mounts would be too harsh off track and oem ones are too soft.
solid mounts would be awful harsh for our roads id go for the poly bushes...iv only drivin my car few times since i put mine in cos its off the road wile i do some work but they seem to be very good from wat iv gathered wile drivin it
it needs something anyway as the back end seems very soft when trying to hang it out or even just at speeds on the motorway.
only had it out last night for the first time on a proper drive and it was really obvious.
although its not got coilovers yet either.
coilovers an poly bushes for subframe would really tighten it up an help hold it out a bit wile driftin
Did you try drive n style in roscommon
thats what i'm hoping alright.
haven't tried anyone mate, i literally have only had the car out on the road a day.
only picked it up on saturday night.
japspeed.ie
japspeed is based in the uk,
and drive n style are their irish dealer.
approximately 120quid for the rear set of powerflex subframe bushes from drive n style.
just waiting on him to get back to me with a deffinate price.
how much did your driftworks ones cost delivered?
if your getting a full set make sure whats in it. got a set for the aul fella's civic and a load for the back arms weren't includede in the set but you get loads of gammy ones you'd never ever use
there is only 8 poly parts and 4 metal inserts as far as i know.
it's not a full suspension bush kit. just the subframe.
they also dont do the diff bushes so i dont know if i'll go with the drive n style set.
JOMO ENGINEERING,Killucan,Co.Westmeath. 0877983627 he will sort you out lad.
jomo didnt have any.
rang them today.
get the driftworks one man they very good quality
driftworks only have the solid alloy ones for the diff.
spoke to a couple of people who have used them before and i was recomended to go with solid alloy subframe bushes with poly diff mount bushes.
na i wouldn put solid sub bushins for road id go for poly bushes for subframe an solid bushins for diff that way ud still have some comfort an good handlin an no axle tramp
thats what i though too at first, but the more i though tabout it, and remembered that the car although it will be on the road, isnt a daily, or even a second car, its more a third car so i wont need all that comfort, and will want to reduce the noise from the diff more then the noise from the subframe.
icetronix are doing the subframe sets in alloy for 65euro aswell.
ha, was just answering you,
not shooting you down lol
