pdrift car spec full spec needed plz

can any1 help me with what exactly i need to put my car into prodrift i have a full bolt in cage but its a dash doger but has doorbars
do i need plumbed in fire eaters?
kill switch
any help would be grea and anylinks thanks

and your ready to roll the res of the stuff is upto you hydro etc

also kill switch needs to have a pull cord mounted outside somewhere, and your bonnet and boot should be able to be opened from the outside, i.e. bonnet catches. Boots not important once theres nothing in there really AFAIK.

no! yes u need a killswitch and it has ta have a pull cord goin to the outside of the car, and the extinguiser dusnt have ta be plumbd just a handheld 1 will do!

colfer told me that dash dodgers arnt allowed unless they hav a bar goin thru the dash inside connected to the cage and door bars ye need ,and from a post i seen here by robbie @ tdp he saids that bolt in cages wont be permitted for PD nxt year

dash dodger cages arnt allowed next year in prodrift. im not sure if a bolt in that goes trough the dash will pass tho.

You can weld in a bolt in cage, just as long as it's not a dash dodger

What are prodrifts rules on welded in cages with bars that have ripples/kinks on the inside of the bends?I've seen a few cages like this

a bolt on cage is the very same only its bolts holding the base plates to the floor insted of weld..

i think its stupid banning bolt-in cages ,thats stopping people on small budgets from entering PD like meself im on a student budget and i had plans of entering PD nxt year with a bolt in cage but now that the rules have all changed about cages probly wont be happening now :(

to be fair if you've got a cage in your car its not road legal anyway as insurance company's wont cover the car with a cage fitted!

Time maybe for a street legal type series one thing that pissed me off aswell with prodrift was having to remove the roof lining the condensation coming off the roof in the mornings is a real pain.

Its not them being pricks, its about safety at the end of the day. We saw this year how many big enough impacts there were, and everyone saw how much Mike Fitzs cage moved on his crash last year. So personally I think its definately the right choice.

A suit, helmet, and boots and you will be fine. Gloves, vest, etc. arent really required.

thanks lad that will save me a few bob already have the suit and helmet so just need the boots
