all rust was granded ->sandblasted->rustkiller->antyrust primer->protect rust primer coat -> Normal primer

a car has to be 25 years to qualify for classic cover in Ireland.

has to be 30 years lads to qualify for classic and vintage in this shitty country,,,, i was trying to tax my mk11 escort 2 yrs ago and i ended up having murder with the people in the tax office over it,,, it were 29yrs old at the time and it were 1980 model RS2000,,, and no way could i tax it.... and it even had to be NCT"d she told me until it is 30yrs old... some bullshit!!!!!! so basically in 9yrs she"ll be classic for ya

the other thing is they won't give you classic or vintage cover and tax if your not over 25 yaers yourself.

way easyer will be buy some car and have open insurance but u have only third part.

you can insure your car as a classic once it 20 years old, i have mine insured as a classic its a 1991 S13, but it doesnt count for the tax until 30 years old be on the bright side cheap insurance :cool:

im with carol nash, you have to be over 25 and a named driver on another car, its only €334 for the year on my sr20det S13
