how did u try get them back?
u nead to wind them back u can buy the tool in any motor factors bout 30e
you need the tool now but in future so you wont need it just use a pry bar to push back the pistons before you have to callipers taken off so you wont need to push them back anymore when you go to put the calliper back on
Tried vice grips and it wont turn at all, it's out the full way so i'll have to wait till the morning to get that tool.
G-clamp????? thats what iv always used, works a treat!
a needle nose pliers is all you need to wined back the piston.
Thats what I've been using but the piston is out the full way and appartently it needs to be turned anti-clockwise as it is being compressed!
^^^^^^
what he said!
Just tried that, there's no budging it that way. Is there a possibility the thing could be seized?
yes that is also possible la, as i always say if u dnt know wat ur doin dnt do notin atal, :D.. lads always seem to go at their own cars and they havent a clue, you woudnt go off and try wire up a house if u werent am electrican!!!...
ps give it to some1 who knows wat their doin, it could cost you more on the long run
Get a piece of flat bar. Drill 2 holes and put in 2 8mm bolts at same centers as piston. Job done. Not 100% sure but would a spanner for opening an angle grinder do the job.
got it sorted, the piston was out to far and started goin in on the wrong thread so i had to take the whole thing apart and re-assemble it again! All sorted now, cheers for all the help lads
