ok looking at buying a td06 top mount set up full kit but im wondering if its going to be best bang for buck...love the note off the td06 when it comes on boost just sounds class!! probably most the sound is from the external wastegate do would that be true?
anyway give us your touts best power,sound,reliability and all round coolness..:cool:
td06 seems to be the way to go...
iv a td05 thats pretty good for a small turbo.
There are reports that td06-20g's are laggy as hell but power is massive.
T517z greddy (or its ebay equivalent td05-18g or td05-16g) can be had with t25 style housing so they bolt on std sr/ca manifold. They are good for around 380bhp with right tuning (1.5bar) and have good response (IIRC full boost by 3500 rpm)
I'm putting in an TD05-16g twin scroll variety with titanium shaft and wheel and bigger compressor wheel. It's a great response turbo and they come on boost very very fast, hold big boost to redline and are proven for max 380 bhp on CA. This requires a LOT of fabrication though (mani, elbow, brackets, water and oil pipes etc).
yea id rather have the big BANG from td06 I think even do there would be lag off throttle but ya can overcome that (keep her lit) lol:D

Is it on 95 ron petrol? That's the area I want to chance with my setup and only worry tbh. Something is telling me that chip I have (specific for CA with 560cc's and t3/04) won't sort it out though.Quote:

havent they got a different manifold flange do?
t3 but a t3 flange can be bought and welded on to a t25 flange or the t25 flange can be cut off and a t3 flange welded on.
im only using a mappable nistune chip, mapped for 95ron yea :)
good set up and sounds mental :)
