Have you got a highly sophisticated rain-sensitive front windscreen? lol
Short somewhere, Did you get a problem with the wires getting rubbed in the arch from the wheels? 180sx right?
There's probably a broken wire or two in that loom somewhere that I didn't spot. It may be stripped back and looked at the next dry day I get a chance.
Maybe.

there only wavin at ya to say hi we're still here chillin on the window ha:D
most likey an exposed wire an its groundin off somethin
I have the exact same problem with my 180, indicators too, still have to get around to sorting it fully.
It must be a dirty Datsun trait.
wiring loom in driver side wheel arch. rubbage
had that problem when i wheel-rub'd the loom on the passenger side.
cut the wire for the intermiting wiper.
it was in when it wanted to with the wipers off.....
also worth investigating the motor itself, if the connections in it for the intermitent workings are burned or dirty when it goes so far up it breaks contact so it stops until you hit the switch again, had same problem in bmw until i stripped and cleaned it, working grand since.
