Right, was just wondering what engine would go into an RX7 without massive money being spent on the conversion...
RB, 1JZ etc etc...
Would it be massive money fabricating mounts, lining it up etc...

whats wrong with your rotary?
al lot of lads in the states put v8 in them, there are loads of kits readily available, not sure on the costs though

Cost is the factor.. V8 would be the nuts alright... cost and getting one is the major factor.

It's serious amount of dosh though.. and that's without the engine... + custom taxes etc...
Custom fabrication shouldn't cost as much as that... or would it?
Been a Toyota head myself I would say 1JZ all the way! An RB cost more to buy and cost more to tune. Its kinda a combination of one of my fav engines and one of the best looking cars to ever come out of Japan. I dont know how the weight ratio would be affected but I suppose you could get it corner weigthed to suit only minor considering the gain you'll get.Quote:
