Yes Wednesday with stiv.... Gonna go for 1.4 bar and see how she holds up ..
Good work Adam. has Stiv a rolling road now?
Yep he does only has it a month or so.. Can't wait to get it done now .. 1 more day ha
lets swap wheels
did you ever get your vrt shit sorted out dude ??
Not yet vrt has to be done . Mapping tonight and vrt is next ..
So 1.3 bar
393hp
328flbs torque
I guess I'll take that and be very happy . This is the update ye have all been waiting for
Top class tuning by Stiv @mdtuning
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pswxeqgrco.jpg
Savage :)
sweet, bet its lively to drive.
Seen it at stivs a few weeks back. The car is a credit to ya. Great figures too.
20k for new wheels :p Lol only messin man its what you cant see that makes the difference ;)
It's very fast . Lots of power . Fuck all lag . Great torque and normal drive ability ..
Thanks a lot . Good a few good comments from the guys at stivs, it looks kinda good in person just takes a bad photo ..
I bought it 100% standard . And I bought the most expensive parts that I need for best quality . Not one second hand parts really is in the car .. That's where the money adds up
So this week I got myself some solid rear subframe bushings
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps97wadwec.jpg
I also got 4 litres of redline shock proof oil for the gearbox and LSD .
Seems to be very got stuff . I flows like a 75-90 gear oil buy has viscosity of a 75-140 oil but has a coefficient of friction similar to a 30w engine oil .. Best of everything ..
Looks exactly like poppa smurfs blood transfusion
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps8pqtsvm2.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psg6sjj9wm.jpg
I also fitted my os giken twin plate spring clutch and flywheel . And I fitted my 2 way cusco LSD ..
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps0l5yhwa7.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psalir0jxs.jpg
I had a r33 hub conversion and brakes done a long time now and I only got round to fitting the handbrake cable this week . Making a mounting plate for the cables as there different length and adjusted up my shoes properly . I'm no engineer but I'm proud of the way I done it ..
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psdt9swsew.jpg
So basically I know have a nice big clutch . LSD and a beast if a handbrake done this week . What else does a drift car want .. Haha
And how she sits waiting patiently for road..
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psrh9ghpg6.jpg
Good work Adam
I just love this car so much. You just keep hittin them home runs with it, so many levels of perfect
Haha I don't think it's that perfect .. But i like to think I'm giving it nice parts and trying to set it up well ..
I just brought it for a quick spin up the road .. I can't definitely say with a skyline shoe inside disc rear brake setup . When correctly adjusted .. You will not need a hydro I love how it locks
Favourite ps13 in the country. Exactly how one should look
fair play credit where it's due
Really liking EVERYTHING about this!!!! credit to your work!
So I have a spare subframe I began working on . Fitting some solid bushings . After I had that done I started messing with colour .. I guess this could work ?
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps56jkpk9z.jpg
So 6 months since the last update . A entertaining one ha
I paid 3,000 for stupid vrt and got it registered and in the road . Car was a dream on the road
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...s7mylczev.jpeg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...sdedtg0bp.jpeg
So that went well . For 3 days and then bang
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psyewwbpxx.png
So I decided I was going to go all out and build a sr22vet . Sourcing a ve head was proving to be difficult so in the end I bought a full vzr broke the car and got the head.
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...strwrrie3.jpeg
I then changed my mind once more and I sold that head on and I finally went proper and got a new stove for my baby once and for all
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...srjgqabuh.jpeg
A nice 1jz vvti .. My plans are to run 500 hp / 500flbs through it .
At the moment I'm thinking 6boost manifold
Precision 5858 ball bearing turbo
Downpipe and catback just custom
Sard 550cc
I still have to buy my transmission but I will be using a 350z z33 cd009 6speed box . Very closely ratio to the supra box
And I will be using a Collins adapter plate and clutch
Ecu wise I'm not sure yet prob haltech or something
At the moment I'm changing timing belt . Water pump . Can deals . Rocket gaskets and crank seals . I'm also toying with getting a 2jz oil pump . There just slightly bigger and flow a touch more ..
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...slfxkjkwi.jpeg
At the moment I won't be spending to much money on it as I've a little boy arriving due February but I do have a lot of money saved up to spend it on it but I'd say I won't concentrate on it till Jan 2017 . I'm sure I'll get it into the ps13 with the gearbox and have it running standard turbo but it won't see road till I've my own mods complete and I'm happy power etc ..
Serious amount of dedication going into this man. I abandoned my 2jz swap idea simply because of the money and time it needed compared to the end reward that i'd get out of it. I daily my cars and although i have access to my wife's car, I take the s-bodies 9 out of 10 times, rain, hail or snow. I had forgotten how much fun a simple sr20det with almost standard power was.
I'm gutted about what happened to your sr setup. All that blood and sweat only to get a few more tears :( This is shaping up to be one of the best PS13s i've ever seen though, so can't wait to see what happens next.
Fuck 3k for vrt! Your heart must be broke for it to have blown the engine then! Was that for all the late fines accrued? You might be able to appeal it showing pictures that you were restoring it and that it was unroadworthy. I don't know how true that was but I've heard of people doing it with success on backroads.ie forum. Might be worth looking into.
Best of luck with the 1jz build and congrats on the baby!
I have followed this thread all along and absolutely love everything about this car. I have a sil80 that i have built from the ground up also, but is no where near the standard of this. I have been bitten by the JZ bug as well and have recently bought a 1j from a friend and have been looking at gearbox ideas. I am going to sell my engine and box as its running perfect at the minute. I have not found a lot of information regarding the cd009 box in a s-body for things like the shifter location etc, any recommendations/findings? One last thing that i am curious about, why have you opted for the vvti over the non-vvti? some people maintain that they are very very difficult to get running in a s-body road car.
Are you going making your own mounts?
So I had a baby in January 2016 and I put this thing on hold for a while .. now that it's 2017 we're ready to go again
I sold the 1jz in favour for a sr20 set up to get it back running. I never bought the sr and went and got another 1jz vvti
I got a set of bc coilovers and dropped it a little and bought a a-5 dash and began to start getting it fitted
I also put a deposit on a cd009 350z box so I'll get that soon

I also soureced a oem grille for it which I feels suits alot better and split the headlights and sprayed the fog buckets
Looks awesome man!!!
Took delivery of the box today .. few more trick parts in the post too
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psegpwfpn2.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pskm65c7gp.jpg
How many engines have you bought for it??🙈 serious dedication sticking at it Adam. Gona be one the best when it's finished
it looks like loads but it was a sr16ve head and 2x 1jz vvti ha
ok so pulling the finger out of my hole the last few weeks
just a shot of the good stuff with a magnetic greddy sump lug
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psgsam9yvi.jpg
chopped the traction control off the throttle body ive got a aluminium 90 degree bend in the post ill weld it on the tb instead, and decided to completely by pass coolant away from the throttle body .
as you can see I just made a an6 loop from the front water feed to the back
also got the rail an fittings
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psmlayykbb.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psupqfkwla.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pstvkbhwyk.jpg
just going to let it sit along here and as I am going to rework the standard loom , usually its a big piece of plastic here
im also deleting the iacv so I have a nice billet block off plate coming for that too
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psyimbmk4x.jpg
just trying to mock up the fuel pipes and see what I can use from the sr20 setup I had, ill most likely buy all new an6 hose and do the whole lot fresh
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psedxcv89f.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psyjpp9bbl.jpg
pulled it out of the shed and gave the bay a power wash , was destroyed from a hicas leak I had when I bought it
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psle6xncsc.png
started removing the master cylinders and all the in bay steel brake pipes as ill be changing to an3 Teflon chase bays stuff, also took off the power steering hard lines there also going to be custom braided, im in two minds to get the bay sprayed while its stripped. also removed all the loom so im now going to start into splicing and making my own loom for starter solenoid etc for the jz
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pszyxysukb.jpg
my Collins adapter kit arrived after, savage machining on it , just went to local place and got some Allen bolts, ordered the line up dowels for the box off Nissan as it doesn't have any and I don't want all the stress on the box and I want it 100% centred
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psarjybvnz.jpg
got my chase bays s13 1jz to cd009 braided clutch line
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psquwlnwfy.jpg
just waiting patiently now
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psfhziy1df.jpg
took into the loom
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps0djyql5f.jpg
so far ive deleted the traction control, fuel evap solenoid, boost solenoid few more I cant think of but basically reducing the loom drastically
all the interior powers from the fuse box etc. im only halfway there with it
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pssxkgpz1m.jpg
so far
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pszkspdd6h.jpg
its crying to be fixed, its has 215/50 rear tyres and 215/40 front im going to buy 4x 215/45 westlakes hopefully rises the front bumper but fills arch gap a little
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps1h87psv8.jpg
at the minute im just waiting on my xcessive engine mount brackets, solid rubber mounts, and other little bits like rays wheel nuts.
im guessing maybe 10-12 weeks should have it done.
I have the front pulled off it now waiting to fit the engine and I can mock up intercooler pipes etc
The bay already looks great! did you have much hassle getting the engine out without taking off the whole front?
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psufjcibb0.jpg
Got my mounts today . Really high quality and good thick steel . Huge adjustment in them so looking forward to fitting them . Xcessive manufacturing s13 kit
Just got a iacv block of plate to it's just a billet plate with a o ring .
A 3 inch 90 degree bend that I will weld into the throttle body , as they end up very close to the radiator and it's best to have a solid peice rather than a silicone joiner .
And then just a oem Toyota oil filter but it's the larger type as there is too .
Looking forward to fitting it now I've ordered all of my relays and fuse blocks etc to make up my powers to the Ecu and fuel pump etc ..
Got the engine fitted last night was a tight squeeze
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psipajge7u.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psllxyngvt.jpg
Also got a compression test done 170psi across all 6
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psf56dan6b.jpg
Also the billet block off plate for the iacv
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps6e9aesea.jpg
Trc deleted from the throttle body and 3 inch 90 welded on for space near the radiator . And 90 degree silicone joiners can weaken and fatigue ..
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pswts5rnp0.jpg
The intercooler pipe off the turbo I cut and shortened it to remove the fitting for the standard bov. Just makes life easier than capping off pipes
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps0wyvahuk.jpg
That's the throttle body sorted
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pstskqxo6c.jpg
I got a japspeed universal 100mm rad too . I find that if I fla little extra with the cooling on this Silvia as regards water and oil I will have no real problems and it will be reliable . I just have the get the rad pipe parts moved to where I want the . If this won't help cool it I dunno what will
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psjx2gg53l.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pspkn4nwrd.jpg
Mounted up my fpr on the opposite side
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pshhpuklut.jpg
Engine mounts arrived
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psjhzp8ics.jpg

http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pskobduttg.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psptckkuvi.jpg
The welds are shit but the important part is I made it myself and it will be strong
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps5g019ush.jpg
I did a bit of heat anodising for the tips just to trick it up a bit and not let it just be another shotgun
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...psxvglmgk8.jpg
And just squashing the pipe in the vice to make a oval centre section for clearance . I need to buy 2 3inch v bands now to finish it , I also got a high quality flexi for the down pipe
The http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps5rztae2x.jpg
Aslong as the exhaust has no blows , clears the ground . And tips look good I'm happy . Not looking to win any welding competitions ha
I have also ordered a lot of parts to finish the car watch this space
OK so a update due.
will be a bit unorganized but anyway
i went about using a oem loom with everything deleted i didnt need, was turning out pretty well
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...pszkspdd6h.jpg
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps0djyql5f.jpg

picked up a set of rays nuts to go with the wheels
http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/w...ps6vsbbwsw.jpg
from there i decided to try add power on the turbo side.
i wanted to finish the car soon and not put much money into it as it killed me having it off the road. so i picked up a gtx3071r compressor wheel and steel 55/58mm steel turbine wheel and shaft . got them machined and fitted to the oem turbo looked good actually
compared to oem
