UPDATE TIME!!
I'v added a few pics to the end of page one too!
Well after missing Rd.1 Fermoy i finally got the car finished for Rd.2 Punchestown
and did my best to steer it as it wasnt set-up properly, only just about pointing straight!
But was happy to come away with 1st in Amateurs in my first ever competition!

for the Team Train competition!!

Rd.3 CityWest!
After Rd.2 i knew the car needed some testing time so i played
around with the wishbones and tension rods to get optimum lock from both
the leading and trailing wheels, and once the 17inch Grid Drifts became
available i went for a quick spin to Tullow to make sure it all worked!

Was happy with the car so back to the garage for some cleaning, stickering
and repair a little damage from clipping that damn cone that Chris loves to wave
at me!!! Just for you Chris, some of the cone stuck in a rivet!!!

Having had a terrible practice day on Friday, i hit the wall on my first run and damaged another wheel,
but on Saturday i just cleared my head and hit the first corner as fast as i could and managed 1st again
in Amateurs and finished 4th in non-Seeded Pro, so that allowed me to advance to Sunday to compete with the Pro's!

http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...citywest12.jpg
I didnt have a great day on Sunday, i just couldnt seem to drive the same way
i did on Saturday but i was still delighted to compete in the Pro's in my Second
ever event!
Here's a pic of the team event, i destroyed my front bumper trying to qualify for the top 16
and then crashed AGAIN into the barrier in the team practice quite badly!
Damaged a 3rd wheel, lost rear bumper, rear window and the whole corner of the car!
But i got the hammer and cable-ties out and battled on!!!

CityWest was an amazing weekend, from the spectators, drivers and Prodrift crew,
everyone loved it and had such a great time!
Here's a pic of myself and Mark Synott (2nd in Amateurs) on the Podium with Chris Brady (He's not suppsoed to be there!)

Rd.3 CityWest damage!!!
Having hit the wall twice over the CityWest weekend the car suffered quite a
bit of damage! I hit the wall that hard that it pushed the boot over and smashed
the rear window on the drivers-side!!
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF1389.jpg
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF1391.jpg
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF1395.jpg
The thinking begins..
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF1397.jpg
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF1398.jpg
So Willis got the ratchet straps, tied one end from the car to a pole
and the same on the other side of the car, tied to the fork lift and we began
to "stretch" the car back to shape! That along with alot of hammering it began to take shape again!
http://i247.photobucket.com/albums/g...d/DSCF1396.jpg
So now we're just left with a whole where the lamp should attach, keep an
eye out for more updates very soon!
