Love reading in depth threads like this. Where did you get the caramel wheel and how much? May come in handy for debadging.
I know it's insane, I didn't realise how bad it was until I had the two side by side. Thanks.
Cheers dude, I'm the same when it comes to build threads so I wanted to put as much detail in as possible without going overboard.
I got the caramel wheels from B&C Paints in Galway. They came to a total of €25. They're also known as a Pinstripe Removal Wheel or Toffee wheel. I can't recommend it enough for the job
God damn alternator I remember you saying about the miss fire last year what a dick to try source . Never the simple things. Very cool original 32 definitely a keeper
Haha metal in the oil filter , has to be that dam alternator
Saw this parked at the docks in Galway earlier man..looked sweet!
So this is long overdue an update, there is one in the works. But to give a brief idea of what's been happening with the R32 lately, not much, would be the best way the describe it. Since the first proper drive to Japfest back in September, I probably got to drive it a handful of times before the engine started running horribly. To the point where it was almost undrivable and couldn't even maintain a cruising speed. It got to the point where it was knocking off while I was driving, about the very same time I started a new job. so between the new job, weather, and girlfriend, the skyline has barely gotten a look in since October.
Despite trying everthing I could prior to starting the job to track down the problem I've decided that I am going to head up to AP Performance with it once I get a chance and hopefully through a process of throwing money at the car I will get it sorted. I have a feeling most of the fuel system could do with replacing along with the coilpacks and coilpack loom. Unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment to properly work on the car and it's pretty miserable to have to return home from work every evening driving a Daewoo Lanos when you know you own an R32.
Anyway, I'll give a better update soon. Hopefully with pictures of overnight parts from Japan
Also I want to change the wheels. Any nice sets of 17" out there? Single piece, no multipieces....... along the lines of Advan RGII's or Something else cool
