Looking sweet man. Will it be on track soon?
Peeeeersonaly joe I'd find wheels first, because finding wheels to for those fenders will be tough! I was going to buy them but backed out because they would have swamped the 17x9 ssrs!
You can get 20mm ones too that sit flush to the door as opposed to that gap they have also!
Yeah the gap in the overfenders looks horrible!
Spent the day prepping the cage for paint, the pink that was on the cage had faded and i wanted to clean it up, so using a patio heater and an old light stand i had i made up a stand to spray the bars of the roll cage

I sprayed it pink again, i hate it. Gonna strip the paint off it again and decide on the paint again. Im thinking about either green or blue
i think it would look good if you painted the cage the cusco metallic blue .
Mazda winning blue. Almost identical to cusco blue :-)
Not bad ride mate are u somewhere from meath cos that petrol station u took pics on is just beside my garage
shes coming along nicely joe keep up the good work :)
Got my seat back from the valeter today, now I just need to get the holes stitched and get the rail from Pepsterx

not too baD for a free seat man
Right I always wanted to get this yoke up in the air and have a proper look under it, not 100% happy with what iv discovered!!
How the arm should be
http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...1/IMAG0160.jpg
What the other side looks like, this will explain why the car pulls to one side!!
http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...1/IMAG0158.jpg
And instead of actually removing the HICAS and looping the system the pipes were just bent over. The power steering fluid was leaking out of the pipes so ill be fully removing this and sorting it out, basically doing a proper job.

On the up side iv been told that the coilovers are awesome :) Tein HR coilovers or something like that
Also for some random reason the passenger side headlamp is broken, ill need to put a fish in the light
http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...1/IMAG0153.jpg
How the fuck did you break the headlight!? you know those brick type ones are mega mega mega rare?!
Not sure what the craic is with the hicas, as far as i can remember gem didnt remove all the bit he just disabled the system but left stuff in place. Never had to top up fluid or anything so it 'could' be from the unused hicas lines!
Also yeh, I think all of the arms at the front are bent. it was tracked and driving straight but in mondello I hit one of the curbs hard enough which knocked it off a bit.
Iv no idea how the headlight broke, i discovered it this morning. At first i taught that the heavy winds the other night blew something against it but the bonnet doesnt have any damage. My other conclusion is that the frost last night broke the light but i kinda doubt it!!
Yea the arms are fucked, but iv a load of spare arms in the shed that ill throw onto the car.
Treated the car to some Driftworks adjustable arms for the rear. Since the car has the Driftworks HICAS lockout kit there is already toe arms on the car so with the camber arms and the traction arms its pretty much the back end sorted, all that's left to do is the alignment.

Collected another few bits for the car, gonna try make them fit and if that doesn't work then up for sale they go (friends always get first refusal ;))
First off is this engine damper, I know this is for an SR20 but since this car uses all S body suspension the R32 engine damper won't bolt on. So ill see if I can make up some sort of a bracket to make it fit.

Next is a Cusco oil catch tank, the Lucozade spec one looks like it'll destroy the engine bay if the oil comes out!!
http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...1/IMAG0201.jpg
http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...1/IMAG0203.jpg
Then I got this alloy coolant bottle, in order to be able to fit this the HICAS pipes will need to removed which I plan on doing anyway.

Tried to repair the headlight last night but could only glue a few pieces of glass back in, so I ran a couple of layers of tape over the top of the light and job done, it probably won't pass an nct but it'll stop the water getting in
http://i368.photobucket.com/albums/o...1/IMAG0207.jpg
Also got the paint for the cage, gonna spray up some of it tonight and see how it goes. Then get everything bolted up and ready for mondello on Sunday
Catch tank was something I meant to buy so many times! At mondello id say I lost over a litre of oil through the breather!
Yea judging by the amount of oil everywhere its defo needed.
I got my seat rail today :)

Iv no pictures of it in the car, but its low!! Feels like your sitting in the back, you kinda are as my shoulders are behind the B pillar. It'll be interesting to see what position I can have the seat in when I have the cage back in the car
Didn't do much to this over the holidays, but I picked up a few bits for it. These landed for me today, couple of plastic bits broke but they can be easily glued back on.

They aren't the same as the brick type headlights but they'll do the job
Nice ejector seat/desk Lawd!
Never mind the headlights Joe, ye need a document holder for that notepad so you can move the keyboard and laptop about ten inches closer. Throw the laptop on a docking station/holder and tell yer man over at the other desk to raise up his monitor to eye level :p
Lights look clean though!
I do workstation assessments :) I meant a docking station that either has a screen attached so you just plug in the laptop closed and use a seperate mouse, keyboard and screen or one where it raises up the screen to eye height! If you sit upright the top of the screen should be at eye level + or - 15 degrees (ish) otherwise I guarantee ye you'll get neck cramp. Keyboard should be approx 6 inches from desk edge, just enough to support your wrist, so as to not cause sore wrists. Helps not get cramp as bad when having a peddle! And the further away the screen is the harder your eyes have to work too, all ads up and you'd suprised the difference it makes! cough cough your employer should be doing all this cough
Anywho back on topic. I like those lights more than the bricks just to be different
Catch can wont work joe !! Probably make things worse !
dont put them projector headlights in Joe. pleeeease
Have to disagree with ya there simon.. he needs to put them in and drive the thing!!! He can worry about nice looking lights later :p
actually yeh will you have a point haha.
Fair point Will.i.am need to put the extra time into this, with everything that was happening over Xmas I didn't hav time to work on it. Need to sort the electric issues
If ya need a hand gimme a text sure I'm literally 5mins down the road :p
Insured the car today :D I'm buying shares in Maxol!!
did you ever buy wheels for it dude?
