Winner winner chicken dinner!! :) 2 little Gripes i have tho, id split and paint the headlights black, its a half hour job and piss easy and makes a big diffrence, all the honda boys do it to make there ej9's look like ek9's ;) and some black mesh to fill the gap in the bumper. but looks awsome another masterpiece LOL
The light from this is brutal already dude, painting the reflective section would be suicide LoL Ya needs mesh like the evo front bumpers in black...
Lights would be nice blackened out alright but like Brendan said their shocking bad as it is, forget what bulbs are in it but must improve them first, I have a spare front light so if I can get the other side I might blacken the spares and try them out
it dosnt actuallt affect the lights at all you just paint the silver that faces forward, not anything the light reflects off,
here is a write up i did for my golf,
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...f/IMAG0319.jpg
so to celebrate i said id go cooking.. my headights ;) did this before on the Civic so said it has to be the same setup for the golf

90* for 5 minuites remove clips and pull away the glass from the plastic housing,
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...f/IMAG0297.jpg
sand the area you want to spray and mask the rest and give 3-4 coats of matt black spray paint
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...f/IMAG0300.jpg
finished:
http://i136.photobucket.com/albums/q...f/IMAG0304.jpg
then just stick in the oven again for 5 minuites and push the glass back into the plastic the silicone will later set and stick back to the glass
and how it looked finished:

dont mind alan , the lights in the golf are fucking cronic , i might as well have a paki on the bonnet holding two candles for all the good they do :p buuut that said theyd still look well on this but still a seriously cool looking car , and you did some amazing job getting the wheels polished up , you must have some patience
Feed style skirts would top it off nicely but looks great as is! Well done!
Love love love that car! Wasn't sure about the arches at first but with the wheels they suit it down to the ground! Nice work polishing them too, must have taken forever
Came up well, nice car ;)
Haven't updated this in awhile, been busy trying to get the 2 mx5s ready for japfest in Castle Combe in 2 weeks, the white mx5 needs a de-tar, good clean and wax, re-shine up the wheel lips, fit new front lights and sideskirts. The blue mx5 needs a lot more though, have a friend doing most of the work on this, engine is currently out of the car to fit a new rear crank oil seal, new sump has been fitted, custom low profile lights are being made up and will need fitting, arches need a massive roll and flare to fit new 9.5j 14" alloys and side skirts need fitting, also need to fit a new ecu
Here's a pic of the new front lights

And a pic of the feed style sideskirts I got for both mx5s

Get fitting will ya LoL
I've no pics of them on my cars but here's one or two of them on other mx5s, they were 80 sterling a set.
