Yay for big dirty Gateau clutch !!!! :p
yep saw it cheers for the help lad, dont suppose you have the part numbers for the sleeve/bearing kit? or where did you get them?

rb motor sport are the main distrubitors for os giken in the uk.
they your best bet....
i got my bearin carrier twas second hand, a lad had taken it outa his car with a clutch so was lucky i got that..
ring them an dey will sort ya out...:)
iv been on to them (rb motorsport) and they weren't sure what kit i need cause they never sold a clutch like this before??????? so they were going to email Japan to find out...
Hahaha what a whopper clutch u really dont do things by half dude!!:p
man thats a sickner.
you'd think it would all come in a kit, an jus pop it in..
i checked mine the time i got it for a number but notin on it , jus incase came across the problem again, looked the same as standard only the bit shorter..
might be alot of hassle, but if u bolted up the clutch , and put up the box with standard bearin an sleeve, see where it wud sit..
as i was sayin to ya already, i did this an ended up with the gap of 6mm between engine an box.. so when i got the second bearin and measured them up 6 was the difference so i new i was kinda right.......
sum hugh load of fuckin hassle to fit a clutch i know, but when ya av ta get the car on the track wat choice do ya have.............
if ya do this at least ya might no wat size sleeve ya need....
fair sick of puttin up and taken down the box though haha..:D:D
good news the realease bearing and sleeve arrived today. got stuck straight into it and now " SHES ALIVE AGAIN " . so im ready to get back out on the track now yahooooooo!!!!!!

right so at the Dift Ireland practice day at Goldstone 11-10-09 the car got a few tips off the tyre walls. nothing serious just cosmetic really.

The exhaust took a bit of a hammering tho. Bent in two places and broke in another two places. But because its a Kakimoto racing system i tought it would be worth saving.

you can see how out of shape and the few splits along the welds.

bent it back into shape and got it welded and is now back on the car...Yahoo!:D
was out rooting at the car today for the first time in ages, with the cold and snow etc.. time to get some more stuff done. when i bent the exhaust the last time at goldstone i riped some of the exhaust hangers so they needed to be replaced. so thats what i did.

when ever i come in off the track it looks as tho my power steering fluid has been heating up so much that it leaks out of the cap of the reservoir, leaving a big mess in the engine bay. so i got a power steering fluid cooler and hopefully this will solve that problem.
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0617.jpg

http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0635.jpg
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0636.jpg
the last time when i was out in goldstone i thought to myself that the car didn't feel as lively or responsive as it did when i was up at nuts corner, it was kind of bogging down or something, so i had a bit of a snoop around to see if there was actually something up or was i imagining things, when i spotted this.

THAT LITTLE BASTARD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE BLOCKED. somehow my silicone blocking cap thingy got mangled and was no longer blocking anything. it was blocked because a hose used to come from there to the charcoal filter but that has all been removed so no need for it anymore.
i reckon thats why the car just didn't feel right.Need to sort this out also.
the only other thing was that the bolts which fixed my torque damper to the lock also disappeared during the goldstone experience and left my torque damper flailing around the engine bay. think i have that sorted now.
hooray shane! we will be at goldstone end of febuary cant wait!:):):)
gwan the meath crewwwwwwww :P
yahoo! and i should have some massive powaz under my belt by then. MASSIVE POWAZ!!!!!;)
iv been tinkering away quietly and gathered all my awesome power mods so depending on when the last few bits arrive, if they arrive soon I'll give T.D.P. a buzz and see can they get me in in time for the next day out. if not sure iv some s14 wheels to keep me going with the power I'm at, altho i think my unblocked blocking thing was the cause of me not shredding tyres the last time. :D
u plannin bigger tubby man for bigger powaz???:D
savage build lad
class!!wat kinda power ya aimin for???
now we'll just have to leave that up to Robbie. i may have blown this up a little out of preportion..... it wont be ridiculous power. the turbo is rated for 400bhp and i have all the supporting mods for it. so we'll see what Robbie @ T.D.P can knock out of it.
Ya'd wanna mind the arse end of the sr especially if your just running a standered hg....... What tubby ya running........... :D
i think the new wheels for the front should look well when i pop the auld toyo R888's on. here's them just test fitted.

GReddy T518z turbo
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0650.jpg
when i got the turbo it needed a rebuild. so started to strip it.
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0658.jpg
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0659.jpg
and when i got the actuator off it, it revealed a big feckin crack in the actuator port.
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0668.jpg
so now i needed a new cartridge and a new exhaust housing.
lesson to anyone buying a secondhand turbo, take the actuator off and inspect the port cause you cant see around there when its in place.
so i got a new cartridge and new exhaust housing. the housing that came with it was a 10cm housing, after some research i went for the 8cm housing for more responce and quicker spool which should suit drifting better.
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0645.jpg
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0686.jpg
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0688.jpg
then i put it all back together so now its like a brand new turbo.
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0665.jpg
http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/p...n/IMG_0693.jpg
hope to get this stuff on shortly after the DI day out in goldstone on the 20th. dont want to chance it before then incase i run into any compilcations.
If im not mistaken thats gonna be a bit of a laggy bi-atch.......:D
iv looked into this a bit and the free floating bearing system that GReddy have used in these turbos are supposed to allow the turbo to spool up as quick if not quicker than many other ball bearing turbos of around the same capacity. but time will tell. we'll see when it goes on. i believe that the 10cm housing is a bit like an on off switch alright, but the 8cm is said to be a much smoother build.
Is the Turbo on the left from a Mitsubishi..?
