My Built not bought 20v AE86 (project go slow)

With the ae86 trackday day date set it gave me a bit of a kick in the arse to do something with the cam so met a lad today who was selling wings and fired them on. The standard front bumper with splitter I got off cloko that time that also went on as with the redlines. Kinda liking the no sideskirts and standard back bumper dont know whether to put the J-Blood gear on. I'm gonna leave it the way it is if I get it ready in time for the trackday and then strip it again for paint as the paint is in an awful state at the min theres pink/red/purple and blue on it lol.....,

Oh yea got word on the wheels too shouldnt be any more than 2 weeks away hopefully sooner!!

just my opinion but it looks waaaaaaaaaaaay better with out the kit, get it all sprayed up and leave the bumpers black, winner winner chicken dinner. our ae86s can be like brothers ba ha....

Yea I think im leaving the kit off. I dunno what colour to go for Id prefer Black but it'd be a bitch of a job as I wouldnt be happy unless the engine bay and interior was done to. If I go Red all ive to worry about is the exterior but Black is my first preference. The cousin will be spraying it so may talk to him nicely and see lol.

not texture paint on my bumpers i used the finest of grafitti paint did the trick lovely, easy touched up when they get a scratch ya know yourself..

hmm yes black would be nice, but its a tough colour to look after shows up every lil scratch and shit...

Stripped out the rear interior and fitted a new quiet 5zigen exhaust Saturday, Next job is to fit the Cusco cage

Gonna have a go a swapping out the rack tomorro for a manual one dont know how thats going to fair out ive not pit or lift but sure thats the joys of it all!!


Still waiting on wheels, Ordered a set of BC coilovers too, The 2 should be here together will make sure and get pics in all its new flashyness for all of 10mins lol

Looks real well is there much of a difference in d manual rack over the power steering one with no pump??

You can run as much lock as you want without blowing seals on a manual rack. Also manual rack is best for feedback.

Fairplay Jay. I remember considering to even buy your car when it was still 16v back in the day lol. Seems so long ago now. What colour did you go for on the wheels? I'd be a big fan of the black. Although I've a bit of a fetish for all black or at least dark colour wheels. Cant wait to see them fitted. Something I havent seen before on an 86 anyway
