We have planned to fly out tues to have a few days holiday in Algarve before the event...
He could stay and do that but theres still a possibility it may not be ready to come out of cast, as its the scaphoid bone they can take up to 12weeks to heal, and some may even need surgery!

If he went to hospital and did get the cast off its still uncertain as he would be weaker without the cast on considering its been casted for 7weeks already so would take time to build up muscle again.

TBH at this point if he was to choose to drive he would still need the cast or some sort of wrist support while driving, and i would think if the cast came off today we would still need to relocate a handbrake to the right hand side of the car for him!

I did say he be fine as he struggles with 1st & 3rd gears to drive atm, but once in 2nd he can stay in it lol :)

well just do a travis Pastrana on it and put a wrist support on. or leave the cast on and have it checked in Portugal...

finish it and bring it over any way, as you said he might get the goo over there and want to drive.

would moving the wand to the right not make it worse? as in his left hand would surely be too weak to hold the wheel if its too weak to pull the wand
