There just the hoods/covers that come with most gauges... turned back to front and then moulded them into the air vents

that was a refreshing build thread really great work gone in there. looks very well especially under the bonnet..

, the rocker cover was getting a bit grubby so decided to re-spray it....

This is it off, as you can see its seen better days!!!

Next i got the grinder out and took off the nissan bit and other bit of writing, smoothed it all down, gave it a good clean and sanding to smooth it all out ready for paint

so next up was 3-4 coats of high temperature primer, and then a few coats of blue

i masked it all up then , and covered the bigger bits with newspaper

next sprayed these areas with white paint and then removed all the masking tape/paper and gave it 3 caots of petrol & oil resistant lacquer

Okay, finally after a year of looking at it i got my bumper fixed:wack:, and also slightly customised, before the front of the bumper used to come to a point, i wanted this rounded and also got the hole for the i/c made bigger.......


have loads of pics here of it, oh ya also got the bonnet debadged and sprayed as it had a lot of stone chips and the previous owner had stuck down the nissan badge with what looked like super glue. and finally got the holes in the bootlid welded and sprayed also

Well Johno, would you believe that was only a rub down with a quick detailer spray, but i the polish i use is chemical guys all in one, and wax is collinite although i have a new pot of dodo juice here that i have'nt had the chance to test out yet. oh and Chemical guys wheel rim guard think thats whats it called....

Ah good auld Christy Burke at work. Good mates with him. He said before ya were up at him and couldnt speak highly enough of the car. Pity its gone man but Im sure the 15 will be looking the same standard soon.

@Noel, ya i deal with Christy a fair bit, a sound fella! though i think he'll be glad that car wont be going back on his lift!! was a pure ballache getting it up and down!! but we managed! ill have the 15 over to him in a week or two to get tracked & balanced
