1st time towing the car up to nuys myself with the new van (demon to pull! 75mph :cool:)
Had a meeting with a truck tire whilst trying some manji up the straight :p all was straight though so the day went on..
The rain is always welcome by us in the 16v :D +++++bhp
Car felt very different after the lowering too but got used to near the end.

Well its time for another updaye of the thread me thinks..

Last trackday saw the death of both side lamps and born was a quare looking headlight allignmeant ! so with some routing with a pull bar and a trip to my second hand parts man the front beacame fresh again:)
(bumpers not afixed to anything here just resting on bumper brackets)

then i looked at the shabby, non arsed job i did of protecting the rear flared arches from corrosion with a skim of iso-pan and not much attention.. it had to be sorted so with that sorted i got carried away and decided to re spray all 4 arches take out any rust at all which there is pretty much non of!

Ok so i forgot to take pics but heres it on stands while we changed diff oil to castrol B373 an engine oil and filter to TOYOTA and Mobil 10w40SS
we had alot of difficulty with the new oil cooler also and had to hunt down 2 grub screws to block off open sender and return holes..nightmare! Not to mention running a subaru filter! This all became a waste of time when i went to turn the engine over and oil pi*sed out of the cooler ! cracked! off came that and a top up of oil and all was good.Tightened the hand brake thanks to retro head and also decided id give the car a once over and G3 compound the lot..kinda
(OEM frp bonnet from the 20v 86 i was reinforcing with some more fibreglas)

Note the passo lamp an slight outward rounded shape of wing due to retarded mistake by staying out too long an simple not having the power in my arms to counter act a a slide! also kicked the clutch for no reason an thats what caused the tip there..

Biggestcollision of the day was a meeting of a large tyre wall and the rear passo quater as i intiated a transition into the home corner which draged out a little too far an scrubed the tyres didnt even think about it it and continued flaaah hooooouuuuuuu heyyyy yhoooouuuu

Got the car back out to the garage today and 5min playing smacktheshitoutthequaterfromtheinside and the it was pretty much 100% again :)

Yesterday i read on ae86irl that SpeedHunters were hosting a massive Gallerey to celebrate the AE86 on 86 day 8/6/YY (8m/6d/YY although anywhere beside Japan and USA its 8d/6m/YY so without bikering we can all gladly celebrate 2 AE86 days throughout the year :)
Anywho after reading that Speedhunters were asking people to send in Photos of there beloved Hachis i said id send in 1 although it was very late and i didnt htink id get in there..
Result! I immediatlet got an email back asking or name and location..Bingo we were in! by a scrape'ing! also Si's FCsnuck in there haha

Ahhh what a weekend!
Since the DI day we picked up a few little things that had the car set straight again main jobie being a new passo LCA seen as some jap dude had butchered one up welded it braced it and bolted it back in making the left and right geometry totaly different ??? So got that sortred and alligned then span to waterford for a top quality FRP bootlid off an import fibre glased that into repair and fixed it with bonnet pins and rubber latches that fail..
AMA day was mental! Alot of very hard and fast driving time and then the rain came...
My 1st run out in the rain i was loured into bringin a passenger which im not a fan of.. During which my runner became lodged between the brake and clutch mid drift somehow and that ended up in loss of bumper and parker but 0% damage to anything! Kept goin an totaly over cooked it sending the arse into the tyres at the home corner..:o which i have bet back out into original shape again already and just need a lick of paint for a possible show stand attendance coming up.
we also decided we'd run an old j-blood frp bumper i had from way back for sport just cant believe its still in 1 piece ????
