not a bad idea there!!!

I quite agree the two identities are too strong to join... however a one off event / North & South battle or as you suggested a (profitable :)) charity event would be great.
It would create some awesome battles.... and maybe a few grudge matches too. which is always good for spectators.
:( but dont like the idea of just "top" 8/16 drivers... I would like to think I would be able to attend too. There are also a few good drivers returning or have not be able to attend events this year to achieve the top 8/16 ranking, which I would like to see them in an event like this.
And yes mix and match judges/media teams :D
top 32.......
Cezelli Productions FTW :D
BOOM Danyalsan!
I reckon it would be great but both organizations like to be in full command, drivers, tracks, media and fans wouldn't be a problem I'd say. But Prodrift have a style that works and so do UDC, hard to create an event with so many 'cooks' I'd say, maybe not?! I'd be game ball if it happened!:)
A PD vs UDC comp would be great, like 1 a year! On the Sat the ama/semi's vs and Sunday the Big Boys! But i think it would be better if one year was held in Bishopscourt and one down south..........Bishopscourt is an amazing track, for the PD drivers that have not ventured up, its a must! The organisers & drivers are sound and its cheap and well organised! Wayne could organise a comp his side one year and PD the next! Fuck this top anything Drivers, just Pro's and Semi's/ama as normal..........great idea
PS The Northern accent is spectacular, imagine the piss ups with the hott Northern skirt, aye
Would be a good idea - i remember competing in some of the first 'Irl vs UK' battles in Rosegreen - used to bring out a good crowd, and Banzai and Japanese Performace mags both covered them too
How cool would a PD vs UDC vs BDC battle be :P
Yas are gone a bit mad now lads...! Prodrift dosen't need udc at all....! On the other hand udc could do with getting prodrift to give them a few pointers...!
The super series was ran last year withy great sucess but this year it wasn't probally due to lack of funds....! Prodrift wouldn't do this as they don't even recognise the udc as a proper drifting championship....!
An example of this is 3 top udc driver's Chris Brady,Rob Barnett, and Richard Bradley coming down to prodrift and they get put in with the non seeds... On the other hand Danny Eyles andPolo came over for city west from the BDC and got put straight into pros.....!
If they don't recognise the please tell me why would they even bother with them....!
Unlikely that a joint event would occur at this stage. I imagine the only option, if one even exists, would be where the UDC stage an event and Pd stage one.
Combined judging panel at each event. Combined results from 2 events determine the overall results.
PS, lots of haters out there. Unhelpful for this thread and unhealthy for the overall scene
i dont get all the posts saying prodrift dont need udc,, who said they did or that udc need prodrift,, both are well run championships that have top drivers tht people would love to see compete again each outher for the entertainment factor, people need to take a step back and see this as a source of entertainment for the drivers and the fans who turn out to support there favourate drivers
X2... sure it would be a bit of crack! if it was done for charity and not champship points ect mattered... then it would be more of a relaxed atmoshpare and as i said a bit of crack!
think it would be good for the sport, alot of people from the north dont travel down south for pd events as they dont kno wat they are missing, this way it lets people see wats going on all over ireland and there for more people and coverage for both champships! i cant see this ever being a bad thing for the sport just good good good good so why not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
me to,, would be epic,,people need to help promote drifting in this country not keep coming up with negitave comments all the time,,in all the racing ive done over the years i found drifting to have a great bunch always to help if your stuck with a great atmosphere betweent the drivers,,to have enough top drivers in two different champs to be able to tnk about such an event with such little tracks realy says alot,, be great to see this go ahead
how hard would it be for us all to organise it then, see'n that there is so much interest???
Obviously I'm fairly familiar with the Prodrift setup but as I've never been to a UDC event, what are they like? Track layouts, crowds, number of drivers, standard of machinery through the ranks, judges and commentary etc.? Never really saw a whole lot of coverage personally, is it on par with PD say?
ive always enyoyed udc,, great track time and machines yes they have only bishops court but they can change it around
ive done a few of the udc events and had a feckin ball!:D!! serious track time and wayne is a gent!!!! aways comes over for a chat and i love the track!!! serious speed;)!!! was ment to be goin up next weekend but sadly sallys engine gave up in cork last weekend!!:(
Much appreciated there sir. Pity you'll miss this next one, but there'll be plenty more ;)
Just to add CW Can be ran in many ways,As can punch,As can Fermoy!
PD FTW!
What would be the right job would be to invite the top 10 from prodrift the top 10 out of bdc and the top 10 from udc as a final event of the year and ask for 1 judge from each to come seperate them and no contact between them then the judging has to be fair it would cost a fair few quid to do it but it would be one hell of an event and i think people from all sides of the country and the uk would come and see this.
Less of the cock waving lads!!
There needs to be a UDC vs PD round
