You get what you pay for
You buy shit you get shit
I had a Japspeed one on my sr with the support bracket
It split the whole way around the flange that fits onto the turbo
A piece chipped outta the weld
Dont waste your money lad

I've been using a japspeed mani with extra bracing and a flexi joint on the downpipe for about 3 years now on a respectably low road car without any problems. All my exhaust system is japspeed actually.
The flexi joint is the job, soaks up all the knocks and bangs.
Yeah I had the flexi downpipe aswell.
And the thing still fucking cracked.
You were just lucky I guess.
I'm a pretty lucky guy tbf:p
They seem to be hit and miss really. They have cracked on some fellas within a few weeks and have lasted years for other fellas. I know one fella drifting 3 years with 350 bhp with one and never got a problem from it. Obviously the quality control standards are poor in the factories they are made in.
A flexi-piece is definetely a big help.
From what I have seen the braces make no difference atall. If anything they make things worse because they can stop the manifold from expanding when it gets hot.
All in all you are taking a chance buying one but for the cheap price what else would you expect
all them mainfold are a gamble, I have a xs power and a japspeed one there and the xs is smoothed out better on the welds inside than the japspeed one,
Can't fault the xs manifold, ive one fitted for two years wit no flexi on a low s13 drift car, but i put more weld on the support brackets when i bought it to be safe as sr20 s/s manifolds nearly always crack, it has exhaust heat wrap around it if dat makes ne difference  had it off twice an no sign of cracks..... yet :o
