The wastegate size depends on the characteristics of the turbo being used.
You need a manifold as said with a take of for the wastegate and then from the wastegate the gas can be vented to atmosphere(screamer pipe) or routed back into the exhaust further along the down pipe.
ah rite cool...so say if i was usin a turbo good for 400/450bhp wat size wastegate would i wana be usin then??
You would neet to see what size the turbo manufacturer recommends as you can get many different size turbo's that could run that power.
But, if that is the figure you are after then a normal side mount ballbearing internally wastegated turbo would be able to get those figures and would have very quick spool up which is important for drifting.
i was jus usin that figure as an example really im only lookin to get 300/320bhp region out of my sil an im goin for an internal wastegated turbo...but jus curious bout the external wastegated ones cos dont no much bout them
