Says on mywheels.ie its a 3 litre and even if it is down as a 2 litre on the log book being a 530d with a 2 litre engine the tax office are getting very strict and will need a written letter from a BMW dealer saying it is a 2 litre engine fitted.Quote:

The problem occurs on the change of ownership. They don't release a new log book until they get a letter from the manufacturer.

If they changed the book themselves they do, if the car is bought that way nothing can be done to you only change the book to 3 litre.. makes no odds anyway, car will be parked up this week and will be changed to a 3 litre log book. Not a big deal.
Now if everyone is done dissecting.... Is there any actual interest in my 530d, ( will have book changed within the month)
