chances are its not the main fuse because there wouldnt be power goin to the tacho then unless u ran the power from the main power wire. get a wire tester or voltmeter and check both power wires for power coming to them

did u join both wires for your power??all you need do is join into one and it will be powerful enough. join it to the ignition one. that could be your problem
