Those kits are pretty cool, Ive been thinking of getting a set sent over. For $250 its not that much for the extra lock it gives.
Cutting and rewelding the knuckle looks the job but you really need to know your stuff welding something like that made from cast.
@ roco: how much would be it be to have a knuckle modified like that?

Re-welded knuckle vs. DW hub/max angle hub
Having the tierod bolt on at a point below its origional hole (like in the pics) has a big advantage.
When you lower your car, the car/steering rack goes down, compared to the hub, which stays put. This means your tierod is reaching up for its origional bolt hole,
so on the last half turn before you hit the lockstop the.........
Steering rack moves the same distance as it normaly would, but the tierod pushes up the way at an angle (opposed to out as it should)
Having the tierod go up at an angle also causes bumpsteer.
The Driftworks/max angle hubs get more lock with less steering by lowering the tierod/hub bolt point, which means the tierod comes out near straight and this also reduces/eliminates bumpsteer
