Going by the figure you gave of 480 it would have been a waste was my point, SR's in uk and ireland running that :rolleyes:

How many sr's are running a real 480hp with less than 4-5k spent on them ? Im saying 480ish as I dnt want 600hp car.

Gem ran a real 430ish on a standard engine with td06 for a few seasons, with pistons and cams on top of that combo 480 out of reach compared to the extra weight and expense for that power with the JZ.

Like i said best of luck with it man, just seems a waste for the weight and ponies you are going for, not having a dig at ya so no need to get all defensive :)

You can buy a sr22 striker kit from apex in the uk for 1100 sterling! Be handi built just need to bore the block to fit 87mm pistons but I thnk 1js are just epic the sound alone! This build will be class either way ha

480hp in a 4 cylinder and 480hp in a 6 cylinder are 2 completely different kettles of fish, and the jz will be more reliable in that power figure compared to an sr. Good luck with the build Ant, so far all generations of this car is getting better and better

I will have the jz bought with new turbo . manifold and so on for same price worked it all out.

From what I remeber could be wrong but this was your first real attempt at building a drift car . hats off for the work gone in top class. 1J will be awesome

Small little update.
front sump got and have to weld in a return for the sump.
drilling out hole to fit new adapter.

tanx to chuck g for these turbo lines. Also have both water lines.

Turbo should be here friday.
Trd thermostat arrived from japan today.
Also got manifold must put a few braces on it before fitting.
