Here's some more detailed pics and descriptions of the work we've done over the last while!
First off I wanted to have the front panel removable to make working on the engine easier if needed,
and also somewhere safer to house the Intercooler!
So we marked and cut the front panel like so..

The Intercooler is now up and out of harms way, with the Intercooler Piping
running through the headlamp holes which we made a bit bigger!

Bob then cut and bent 2 piece's of sheet steel which would support the removable panel

Welding the supports in place

Intercooler and Removable Panel in place

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2591.jpg
We then made spacers to space the Front Panel supporting legs out enough
to clear the Intercooler

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2660.jpg
All bolted up!
http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2658.jpg
Moving to the rear we made a Quick-Lift Jacking Point to make tyre
changes easier and quicker!
Its removable in case of a collision and its design is to collapsed on impact but
still remains strong enough to lift the car! Its also alot lighter than it may appear!

After that we made rails for the driver and passenger seats..
Cutting some lightweight 1" X 2" box in the Bandsaw

Bob welding the Driverside in place

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2703.jpg
And idea cropped up at the start of this build in TDP to mount the Driverseat
quite far back in the car for better weight distribution and to give better
feedback to the driver as the car transitions through different corners..

Moving onto the passenger side, the recess in the floor pan to allow clearance
for the catalytic converter prevent us from mounting the Passenger seat where
we wanted it.. So i cut it out!

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2712.jpg
Bob bent and shaped a sheet to replace the cut-out recess in the floor

Welded in place, top and bottom for strength

This piece finishes it!

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2727.jpg
All sealed up!
http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/...4/DSCF2728.jpg
I could then mount the Passenger rails where I wanted!

Driver and Passenger seats bolted in!

Good move on relocating the drivers seat back a bit. It took me ages to get used to my Chasers driving position being so far forward after driving a supra for so long.
Ps, please do a jacking point on my car like that.
excellent fabricatrion work going into this build
Have you planned on running s14a headlights? How will they fit with the pipe work going through the holes?
Unreal work
Keep it up lads
if you put two silicone 90degree bends straight onto intercooler you might still fit lights.... great work dude
saw this yesterday , the work done on it is savage , so so tidy! jays plans and color scheme sound epic too!!
Good old bob, some man with the metal work!
