nice!
thank god it's not pink, saw the sneek peek on FB and just thought NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
looking forward to the outcome now :)
Picked the car up this morning. To say I'm delighted with it is an understatement. Just needs 19's now or to be raised up because the Origin skirts are hitting everything.
So, here it is... Traum front bumper, Kazama front wings, Origin rear bumper, side skirts, and Origin roof spoiler. Painted in Peugeot Diablo red and a standard black for the bonnet, roof, and boot. Opinions welcome... :)

I've a couple more bits to go on, and then that'll be it up for sale. :)
Jesus that is a nice looking car...
Are you heading to Mondello next Sunday? Wouldn't mind getting a look at it.
veeeeeeeeeeeeery nice, suits her well, well done :)
and as you said, bigger rims and she looks savage!
Doubled in value
colour suits it well good job . wouldnt be a fan of the black
That's incredible
Thought I wouldn't like the black bits (that's for diesels....choooo) but it looks great in the light. Top job and great color choice.
Yeah the black is an opinion splitter alright but I didn't want it just one colour because it would be too much.
Driving a stripped out car on the road would do your head in with the road noise and pings of stones hitting the arches and floor. So I started making the car a bit more civilised yesterday evening by replacing all the sound deadening I had removed to do Prodrift. I'll probably put the carpet back in too and sort out something with the rear seats.

Your making a lovely Job of this lad I think the black looks well but the stickers don't do it for me maybe some nice door stickers like what petert had on his s14?
thats lookin epic
You can never sell this car dude, tis part of you at this stage...
Good save man :)
Thanks for the comments
I'll leave the stickers on because they all are a bit of history and the next person to own it can take them off. :)
Brendan, Dylan is going mad to go for spins in it, so I want something I can bring him in. I'm sure Reese is same with your cars.
Think ya should have painted the boot lid but the rest looks savage Greg.
I would leave the stickers on too, as you said, part of history!
Ordered some smoked indicators and headlight eyebrows from Planet Drift last week, and they arrived today. Top service as usual from those guys... Fired them on today, but still deciding what colour to get the eyebrows done.

looks like this time she was proper done look-wise :D (but she looked cool before as well ha)
Drove the car to Mondello Saturday, met a very angry cop on the way up who wanted to take the car off me but once he found no big turbo or engine bling he let me go. Although there was a lot of discussion about my Lucozade bottle oil catch which according to him was a NOS bottle. That and the car being too low(even though it has been raised to monster truck height)and not taxed since 2009. So, I may sort out tax and get a proper catch tank.
A couple of lifestyler hard parking shots.....

This just keeps getting better and better! Are you still considering selling it?
Yeah, I'll probably sell it once I get the summer out of it. It's either that or cut the cage out because I want something I can put my kid in and enjoy with him. :)
So the car has had a bad wobble in the front end at any speed over 100kmh the last while, and the tie rods and that were a bit tired, so I got new inner tie rods, and new ball joints for the adjustable upper camber arms. I needed to fit the camber arms as the front wheels were catching the arch. Didn't take a whole load of pictures because tie rods are not very exciting anyway. :) Big thanks to Ryan O Connor for spending the time sourcing the ball joints and tie rods, the tie rods have a little spacer on the too so that's a bit of extra lock too. Oh, and the wobble is still there so I may check the tyres and that next.

Been plugging away at this thing the last while. And as a reward for the months of new parts and the respray I decided to go on a road trip to the BDC round 2 in Knockhill in Scotland this past weekend. To get the car ready for this I gave it an oil change and got it aligned by Jay in DI Motorsport. When Jay first went to align it, he discovered that the lower balljoints were far too gone to bother doing it. So after a bit of a panic I discovered that Altezza/IS200/IS300 ones are identical and readily available. So got them and Jay took the car again and did a full alignment. It's made some difference to the car and has made it nice to drive. Can't wait to try it out on track and not just on some random Scottish roundabouts and slip roads. Also gave the car a good waxing for the trip, as you do.

The route I took to Knockhill was the ferry from Belfast to Cairnryan. The road from Cairnryan to Girvan is unreal. So many fast bends and a few hairpins to really get the side skirts scraping off. Actually, speaking of side skirts. To get the car onto the ferry I had to remove them and bung them into the car. Which got me some funny looks off the other passengers and a friendly chat from the cops on the way home. They were sound though and had a laugh about the situation, and the noise off the car.

Made it to Edinburgh. Had a spin about the city, which went well. Apart from the few cobble stoned streets which are impossible to see dips and changes in gradients on, and the speed ramps at the hotel. Nothing too drastic but lots of dirty looks and confused faces with all the scraping, revving, and sideways navigating of bumps. Oh, and one paticulary nasty ramp knocked the skirt out so much it pulled the front wing off it's bottom mounting. Easily sorted though, thankfully.

Pretty cool roads to there too actually.. And the drifting was amazing. Such a fun looking track with the blind entry over a massive elevation change. It really has to be seen to believed. I got a few videos I'll throw up later in the week. And for the cars, never have I seen so many engine swaps in my entire life. Basically anything from everything is shoe horned into something.
The event itself was hard to follow. There was no commentary about what was going on, or no discussions from the judges made public. The saying rings through, you don't know how good you have it until it's gone, and not having Dave Egan and the rest of his crew there keeping you up to date and getting you pumped up made the day drag on. That, and the rain. Mondello doesn't get rain compared to this place. lol
Anyway, long read, good trip, longer drive, uncomfortable fixed back seat, wet clothes, and beer. Good weekend. Thanks for reading. :)
Mileage done...

Oh, I also took the car down to Fermoy for round 2 of the IDC. Was parked beside Eric on the day and got a few pics. He's sold the car since, unfortunately..

love this car. some turnaround in a few months!
Ye knockhill looks a good fun track. Say it was a pig on juice ha.
It wasn't too bad on the motorway. Rallying it around the city racing Porsche GT3's and a couple of different fast Fords and that made it very bad though. Lol
I would of sprayed the full car red instead of leaving the bits of black on it. Thats just me tho. That car has been through some amount of transformations!!! Nice to see it was saved as a drift car.
The black bits are actually new as the car is originally dark green. In fact, that's a completely different boot lid, the other one is full of holes in the shed. The only black bit i'm not sure about is the boot, I like the rest as it brightens the red up and makes the car stand out more. If it needs to stand out more that is. :)
such a cool car hope you use it on the school runs with your little lad,
seen you put bungs into your shotguns did it make much of a difference?
The young lad only gets short spins in it for now, but when I tax it I'll start bringing him out in it.
Yeah, the bungs make a good difference, and with the ecv closed as well it's pretty silent. That's at motorway speeds. At slow speeds the ecv does fuck all but the bungs do a bit.
New back wheels look the business Greg!
Hot digidy dog, didn't think it could get any better
Its been through a few changes
Thanks lads. Yeah Stevo, I probably should sell it before I decide to change more on it.
