What about Porsche Blue ?
Blue was done too. Although that Aston on Top Gear Sunday night was gorgeous in baby blue.
Wine like the team spriant x100 is pretty bad ass dude !
Have to decide to get the quarters repaired first anyway. We'll see how Mondello goes Sunday and decide then. :)
All set for Mondello in the morning. Looks like it's going to be a busy one and I can't wait. :D

Looking tough dude !
Cheers Brendan.
So, Mondello was yesterday. It was nuts, but good fun. Here are any pics that have turned up on Facebook. Thanks to all the photographers that braved the weather.

fucking hard thats what this car is Greg, that "smoking pics" shot is sweet... think youd lower it a bit though
The coilovers are maxed out on the rear and I wasn't arse'd removing one of the collars to get it 10mm lower. :) I must be growing up. lol
So.. decided to keep this thing and have started to put some money into it again. I was concerned about what state the underneath of the car was in bush wise and I suspected there was an oil leak somewhere but wasnt sure. So I got Kyle from SRS to check it all out. Got word back it just needs new droplinks, a camber bolt, some surface rust attended to, a few repairs to the exhaust, and the sills need pulling back down from being jacked up arseways at cruises and what not. The oil leak turned to be residual oil from a leaking oil filter which was good news.

After talking to Kyle about the exhaust we decided to throw out the old one and Kyle fabbed up a new one with a 3" shotgun end which looks the dogs.

I picked up a new intercooler core, a heap of piping, and clips for 80 bucks off Adverts.ie which is going to modified to fit the car, and today I picked up some new XXR 526'S to replace the 527's that everyone seems to have these days. They really did nothing for my car so had to go.

Will get more pics once the exhaust is on and the other jobs are done. It doesn't look like I'll get any competing done this year so I reckon I'll save some cash and get the bodywork sorted later in the year.
those wheels are cool!!
Cheers Pete. They've a surprising amount of dish for the plus 20 offset.
yeh they look well, especially teh colour! 3 inch is the only size to have shotguns! i had twin 3 on ceffy too. 2.5 looks too small on yokes
I had 2.5 before and it was a bit weedy alright. Can't wait to drive the car with it on now. :)
i love those wheels and they work well on the car :)
Thanks Simon. Anyway, the exhaust is done, and the wheels are all on. The car desperately needs alignment and bodywork

Is it v loud with just a straight pipe? That's what's going on mine just wondering?
Also any intercooler piping left over you want to sell?
It is pretty loud alright, but I haven't heard it under load yet. I should have a good bit left over, I'll let you know.
I never thought that I will say that, but:
XXR Wheels can look pretty cool!
Keep working on mate.
Looking well greg, say its loud as shit
I rathered the other XXRS :D

Quick update. .......
The car has a few finishing touches for this year done to it since the last update. Jay from DI Motorsport did the alignment on it, which hasnt been done in the four years I have it and the car has gone through three suspension kits, two subframes, and a few suspension arms, so it's fair to say that it desperately neeeded to be done.
Myself and Kyle tackled the bodywork yesterday. Polishing a turd basically, but with a lot of hammering, sanding, jacking, and rattle cans it turned out pretty well. Just have to lower the rear a bit and get it re aligned and that's that.
Anyway, pictures. It's kinda like it looked pre Punchestown last year without the grey bits and slightly less manly wheels.
Not sure why the pictures won't go below the text. God bless modern technology I guess.
u putting this on the road again.
I'm strongly considering it alright. Just have to sort out the cage for the test because everything else needed to pass is in the shed. And to think I nearly sold the car for 4k. Lol.
shes lookin well! lovin the jack and plank panel beating job!what make are your wheels?
To tell you the truth lad its the best thing for that car putting her back on the road those kind of cars turn heads not many of them in Ireland i seen it for sale a few months back saying to myself this guy is mad using this beauty as a drift machine...
XXR'S.
I wanted to drive something different in Prodrift, and now have that out of my system. :) I was the NCT centre earlier and the tester reckons the cage will pass the test so I'm going to book it in and see what else it fails on and get it back on the road.
them XXr's are looking sweet nice change
beautiful car !! I love to see your pictures taken guy
Cheers Lenny and French dude. :)

So I've been driving this about on the road since Saturday. Absolutely deaf as a post and shook to bits, but went to Tullow today for a few cheeky skids to cheer me up. As it stands to get it through the nct I have to raise it up and quiten it down a lot, but everything else should be good to go.
A shot of three of the Drift Shed cars at Tullow today

Have been getting this thing ready for it's NCT as of late, and generally farting about on the roads avoiding checkpoints and scraping the exhaust off everything, and complaining about the lack of cup holder for my coffee. The exhaust was clearing most things until I fitted an ECV which spaced the exhaust closer to the ground by an inch or so, which mean't I had to raise the car up a bit at the front. The car looks shit now so I may sort something else out. Maybe one of those Y-pipe divert valve things? I had to fit the ECV just after the car because it's the only place on the exhaust with a flange, I have heard it'll be more effective if I fit it further down the exhaust, but that would mean having to get two flanges welded in somewhere.
I have a roof spoiler and series 2 rear lights on the way for the car, and hopefully will be getting some form of colour change done pretty soon.
What do people do for door cards once they fit a cage? I re-fitted half the back seat which has cut down the amount of road noise a bit, and door cards make a huge difference so I would like to fit some.

I forgot to put up the photos that Awesomesauce took one evening. Stephen turned up expecting to take pictures of the car when it had grey bits and 527's on, and found it tarted up and with 526's on. I think he was disappointed. lol

Much left to do for nct greg
Not really. Quiten it down, raise it up, make everything secure as in the kit, front indicators, stuff like that.
Nice let us know what they say about the cage
Do you have door bars welded in? Think thats the only issue as far as nct and cages go
Yeah, it's all welded. Your man in the local centre said it would be fine once all the welds are good and the cage was built by a professional.
Haven't updated this in a while, but did a quick one on DW, so just copying that here, so some of the info will be old news here. :)
It's been a while... Kind of lost interest in updating forums and stuff, specially since all the Prodrift pictures went arseways for some reason but here's a load of updates... Mostly pictures.... some writing..
Basically, I've spent the last few months tidying the car up mechanically and getting it through an NCT. Never really bothered completely fixing the bodyork, but did bash out the quarter, painted bits grey, then black again... changed wheels, lowered it, drifted it, and generally drove it about. Flirted with selling it for a while but it's hard to sell it really as it's quite hardcore for the road. It's currently parked at home looking sorry for itself while I change more bits. Anyway, pictures...
