c250td project
Hello, finaly found a car suitable to have abit of practice in. Had money saved for a lexus is200, was all set on one untill a chap in work said he knew where there was a c250td forsale, went and looked at it yesturday and brought it home today, not many photo's, will get more when more work starts happening
its a merc c250td, completely standard, mot till may, no tax, and needs a rear subframe as its cracked, got it for £250 so cant complain
engine runs like new, and pulls right and well aswell, manual, full electrics, pity its green but lol

thats all for now, while the subframes out gonna weld the diff and see how well she goes

I'd imagine its absolutely dead no?! Or you planning big turbo etc?
-
There actually not to bad like 150bhp and 200 torque, maybe its non turbo your thinking of?
-
yeh its about 150bhp, and 100kg heavier than a 325tds, so should go alright, it will be tunned at sometime, but gonna get abit of experience first, as this is my first rwd road car
picked up a subframe for it today, just waiting on new bushes getting here and i can start to build it all up again, didnt get any photo's but will get some up tomorrow
-
I have a sport c250 myself, i think they are a grand yoke.
Defiantly wouldn't call them slow.
-
Aye it should go alright

finaly got the rear subframe out, didnt go easy

and the reason its getting a new subframe, its just a slight crack
-
Bit of glue Would sort that :-) will they slide easily?
-
ah i was thinking a couple of cable ties lol
it should do, pretty much the same as a 325 tds, only this has a manual inline pump, so easy to get more power out of
-
managed to get abit more done on this, never again do i want to do subframe bush's on these things, pain in the arse is an understatement. Have finaly got 4 new bushes into a badly painted subframe, and the diff is welded and ready to go back in, should all be bolted back on next weekend, after the arms and driveshafts see paint aswell, keep mot men happy later on in the year
