right im considering buyin a car with a good bita spec to use as a donor car only prob is the car has a redtop in it and im not sure which parts i can and cant use. hoping that some of the heads on here can gimme a bita info!
the body is a 180sx.
My car is a black top vvt s14.
will they swap over
inlet manifold
turbo greddy turbo
cams (trust cams)
550 cc injectors
sump
coilovers
also will the tension rods and lowers arms fit??
The coilovers won't fit,
All those engine parts will bolt on although check to see if you can get more info on the inlet mani as there may be different ones for the high port(red top) and black top engine.
cams and intake mani are different on the redtop and vvt blacktop
ok was thinkin coilovers wouldn fit but said id chance my arm!
the inlet maniflold is trust?
cams are 256 if that helps??
inlet manifold and cams from a redtop will not work on a vvt blacktop as colm said.
front coilovers could possibly be used with a slight bit of modification don't know about rears
180 injectors wont fit either as theyre side fed and your s14 will be top fed
did a bita reading there and nissan doctor also helped me out! you can run the red top cams in the black top engine but need to disconnect the vvt!
just to throw a spanner in the works it seems that ya can use tomei 256 cams in a black top and still retain vvt!:confused:
