My 180sx Drift Car Project 2013

Well lads,
Was mad to get back drifting since i sold my drift car over a year ago so sold up a few bits and bought myself this 180sx to get out this year, originally wanted a r32 skyline but went to view a few and just werent worth the money they were asking so changed my mind.

Heres whats on it at the moment

Resprayed in a copper/orange
Full origin kit
Rolled rear arches

RUNNING GEAR
S14 Sr20det Engine
Greddy Front mount
Braided Turbo lines
Welded Diff
Hks Mushroom filter
Full Exhaust
Decat

SUSPENTION/BRAKES
Tein Coilovers all round
Tein Front Tension Arms
5 Stud Hubs
Skyline Front Twin Pot Brakes
Rack Spacers

INTERIOR
Deep Dish Steering Wheel
Toggle panel with push button start
Thats about It.

Got a good few extras with the car alot of brand new parts still in boxes waiting to be fitted.

Hydralic Handbrake and copper lines
Boost Controller
Gauges
Kill switches
New Cobra Bucket seat
4 Good Falken tyres
4 Other brand tyres
Full interior
Ecu,manifolds,gaskets,inj rail etc

My plans are...
-Go through the whole engine/electronics make sure everythings put together right.
-Lower the car more
-Swap the front hubs out for modified hubs with extra lock
-Fit Hydralic hand brake
-Make custom dash with aftermarket Rpm-oil press-oil temp-water temp boost-fuel level Gauges
-Wire the toggle switches for ignition /starter and kill switch with exterior cut off switch.
-Wire up the lights and wipers and electric windows onto the panel aswel
-Install the boost controller
-Fit front and rear strut braces
-Fit bolt in cage and weld in x bars
-Get 2 proper fixed back seats and new harnesses
-Spray the interior floorpan boot etc clean it up
-Fit tow strap to the rear

Thats the general thought of things anyway prob do more as i go along anyway heres a few pics as it stands after i bought it ready for work to be done.

I hope to make tynagh in may and get back out drifting hopefully i get enough time to get it ready and have it all reliable and fully drift functional.

Was happy with the ride height, camber and the lock but the wheels were in to far so bolted on 20mm front spacers to the front to bring it all out and meet the arch.

Im happy enough with the results had all the parts spare so cost me nothing which was a bonus had to track the car by eye for now as the tracking was way of with the new hubs and rack spacers just have to adjust the tension arms and job done, found a few loose bolts up the front end so sorted them and the rear subframe was hanging outa the car by 5mm so will bolt that back up properly then thats all sorted. need to bring the rear wheels out a touch to line up to the arches but i only had one pair of bolt on spacers but will sort that soon.

Looking well in fairness lad those extra lock hubs make sum difference!!! Are you gonna go into superdrift the may bank holiday weekend?

looks well man.. i know the lad well that used to own that car and i know the lad that wired it and it should be sound he handy at that sorta thing !

Have a small update on the car went at the wiring today because well theres not much of it there and the bits that were there needed tidying and wiring onto switches, heres what needs doing.
-Wire the toggle/start board up and go through what was already there to run the car make sure it is right.
-Wire headlights from scratch
-Wire wipers from scratch
-Wire electric windows from scratch to let some air in.
-Wire All the gauges etc in.

Went at wiring the headlights and main engine wiring today.

Started out by whipping the dash out and the control panel that wasnt wired to see what i was dealing with.

I then pulled the relay and fuse box down and went through all the wires i needed and labled what each wire was and where it was going to.

I then started on the control panel and wired in abit of a harness to it so i can remove it if needs be and tidys it up abit.

I then temporarily ran the wires i marked and sorted to the contol panel to make sure it ran the engine which it did first time, i just have to cut the wires to the right lengths and tape them up to make the right job of it but ill do that tommorow.

I then wired the headlights to relays/fuses etc as there is no loom in the car and up to the dash on a switch, works a1 and not a big job but nessasary to get done when it gets dark early near the end of the drifting season.
