Do I want/need a cage???
Sorry if its been covered before, looking for opinions as much as anything else.
Getting my previous road car ready to be a track car, its not a big build or anything and I have no intention of ever competing.
Just wondering what people think about a cage, do I definitely need/want one?
If I do, what is the minimum I should be looking for, i.e bolt in, welded, just rear hoop or full, you get the idea??
I dont want to be spending a fortune either, its essentially going to have a hard life I would imagine but I do want to be reasonably safe also :-)
Thanks in advance

for the s14?
i see track day are doing full pd spec cages for about 800, which isnt bad i think for something you know is done right and safe,
other than that you would be payin about 300 for a cusco bolt in! a cage is ment to stiffin the shell up rightly which would be better for track,
also if you blow it up an decide to brake the shell would sell alot faster with a good cage!

Personally i wouldnt drift Without a cage. As said 300 or 350 wil get you a bolt in dash dodger cusco or similar. Small price for such peace of mind !

Track day no longer doing cage as far as i am aware. Shane Bradley in Portlaoise is doing cages for that price though. Done mine, very tidy job!

John Stone is the man to get to do a cage now i hear!
