The plan so far is:
Fully strip the interior: Make sure you get all the sound deadening out too
Coilovers or else 60mm springs (recommendations???????) FK coilovers aren't too bad. Them or BCs but they'd only really be for when you get reall into skidding and want the most from it
Nice set of motorsports or sunflowers (any out there?? drifting wheels also?recommended rear sizes?)
For a 328, 17s with something like 205-215/40s would do fine. Will spin a 235/35 but will be stretching it in terms of grunt needed.
Get some E34 5 series BBSes and throw on some 205/50s or similar if you want cheap fun and plenty of sliding at the start
Hydraulic handbrake (recommendations??) Have one here that I'll probably sell as I need one with an integrated cable
source another diff or two (should i stick with the lsd or go welded diffs?not sure what ratio is in it but its fairly tight) LSD is perfect if its been rebuilt or extremely tight but the ratio is totally wrong for drifting. If you want it to be a semi-road drift car, go for something like a 3.46-3.64 or if its just for the track, go with a 4.1-4.45. Will need most of these ratios to be built by fitting an apropriate cwp into an E36 casing
Any other recommendations welcome and if any of ye have any contacts for cheap parts for these cars id greatly appreciate it!! Thanks:cool:
Extra lock hubs and modified arms or E46 arms will help alot in steering and getting good angles. Steering quickener can make a big difference for some people too. M50 inlet, BBTB and re-map will make it pull very well.
When the clutch goes, I'd really recommend an M20 flywheel and clutch. Similar to the E30 iS mod but it makes a much bigger difference in these due to having more power to make use of it and also because they have a very heavy dual-mass flywheel to start with
