Question about Mazda RX7 road tax

Can anyone elighten me on the official situation with Irish road tax on a Mazda RX7. I see some of them advertised for sale saying they are taxed as 1.3 - this is making one of them quite attractive to me - but only if it is 100% legal - is this above board or just tax dodge? Some others seem to be taxed as 1.7's and some as 2.6:confused:


I've checked the VRT website and it only seems to have 1.7 as an option.
